The Roost

1930's Limestone chicken house converted to a cabin. 1/4 mile off a paved highway. Interior space is 46 feet x 11 feet, with sloping ceiling. Tiled shower with built in seat.(No tub.) Fully appointed kitchen. Beautiful views of the Smoky Hills. Several acres of native grassland with running stream to explore. Deer, turkey, bird watching, and other wildlife. If you are going walking, wear appropriate footwear. See the stars without city lights and enjoy the unbelievable quiet.

North Fork Ranch offers a relaxing atmosphere with the scenic beauty of rural Kansas. The overnight accommodations offer a quiet getaway where travelers can relax in the comfort of their air-conditioned/heated rustic room in the loft of the ranch barn. The backyard view is memorizing with gently rolling hills, abundant wildlife, and wide-open spaces. 1886 Loft Book entire space

This unique loft has a style all of its own. Built in 1886, the loft was an apartment back in the day and has been vacant since the 50's. It has been completely renovated and restored in 2023. Saving all the original doors and trim, modern updates were made throughout. Located in the heart of downtown Oakley, it is an excellent choice to base out of and explore northwest Kansas. Downstairs space often has pop up food vendors as an added benefit.
