“Just back from a nights stay here and it was amazing. Property was spotless, it’s hard to believe anyone had stayed there before us. It has everything you need for a stay away from home. Ann and Arthur have thought about all the special little touches, making you feel incredibly welcome and homely. Ann met us on arrival and was lovely, we arrived quite late however they were still happy to go out and set up the BBQ hut for us to use. The quality and standard of this property is amazing for the price you pay, definitely our favourite Airbnb and hosts so far! We already have plans to return and will definitely be recommending to our friends and family. Thank you again!!”
Just a short distance from Wemyss Bay Ferry and train station. The house is located along a small private beach road opposite a pretty beach overlooking the Isle of Bute, very scenic. Very private and quiet. Good, safe parking. Very suitable for anyone who has missed the ferry, or wanting to catch an early ferry the next morning. Easy access to the islands, highlands and Ayrshire. Lovely walks. Makes a good base to explore Scotland from. Good road and rail links to Glasgow and Edinburgh.
“Helen is wonderful and this stay is a jewel. The landscape is beautiful and the grounds are well kept. The room is clean and cozy and exactly the escape my pup and I needed from city life! My puppy even got to play with Cordelia, the lovey Jack Russell Terrier owned by Helen. Everything about our stay was lovely. It was raining for most of our stay, so we didn’t get to do many of the local experiences, but there were a plethora provided if we had been so inclined. I highly recommend this stay for a bit of an old-world manor feel. I’m sure in the warmer months the gardens are superb! I loved being outside and seeing the water and Isle of Bute across the channel!”

“Wow! Well what can I say...this place was phenomenal! We were expecting a basic caravan/chalet stay...well this place blew us away. All modern amenities, amazing Wi-Fi, all the mod cons you could ever require, mega comfy beds...then the added special touches of fudge, tea and coffee on arrival, hot water bottles and blankets on every bed, a telescope for evening star gazing and free central hearing throughout the van! Kendal was always available to contact and her response was always quick and efficient. Our only wish is that we had stayed longer!! Love love love Maisies van x”
