Craigiehall Temple (historic property built 1759)

Built in 1759 and situated in its own grounds on a former part of the Craigiehall Estate, it's Grade A listed for its stunning portico displaying the arms of the 1st Marquess of Annandale. A plaque on the wall carries a quote from Horace: "Dum Iicet in rebus jucundis vive beatus", "Live happy while you can among joyful things". We hope that a stay at the Temple will deliver this experience and stay true to this vision.

It is a totally private secret escape. This is truly a place to relax and to get away from it all. Just sit on the deck, or take a stroll along the banks of the Loch. The cabin sleeps 2 people and is totally private. A wonderful location for fishing, walking and cycling, (or just chilling).

We are situated in the leafy village of Tarbet, and only a two minute walk to the shores of Loch Lomond. Our spacious suites have floor to ceiling windows with spectacular south facing views straight down the centre of Loch Lomond. We built the cabin to a high specification, it is in the middle of the forest with incredible views down to the loch, a burn running close to the front door and all the hill walking and wildlife around you that you would expect in Scotland. The cabin has 3 bedrooms, two bathrooms and an open plan kitchen, living/dining room. Perfect for nature lovers, hillwalkers and anyone looking for a space to decompress and disconnect for a while.
