The Bothy is a self-contained wooden cabin on the edge of our own woodland at West Cottage and Stables, nestling in the heart of Glen Lyon and at the beginning of many excellent walks and cycle rides. There's a double bed, extra bed, luxury bathroom, and wood burning stove. Most guests choose self-catering (there's a hob, fridge, and everything you need to cook with) at our base price. We can provide breakfast (£7.50 per person) and/or a dinner (£20 per person) if you'd prefer.
“We stayed two nights in the bothy and had very peaceful enjoyable stay. The surroundings are magnificent and the bothy was as described and has everything you need for a remote getaway. It was very toasty too and the bed was ultra comfy. We took plenty of supplies and entertainment and hiked up the hill behind the property and surrounding areas, the was no need to go find a phone signal or leave this beautiful spot but it would also be a great base for the surrounding area. We woke up to bird song in the morning, met some deer on the trial and even saw a stoat! Thanks to Tim and Judy for hosting us and our wee cat Uma. We highly recommend this spot.”
Waterfall Cottage is a luxury semi detached cottage for two people, nestled into the hills overlooking Loch Tay close to a beautiful bubbling stream and breathtaking views. Situated just 2 miles west of the charming conservation village of Kenmore, in Highland Perthshire, this lovely cottage offers exceptionally comfortable accommodation for couples looking for a special treat. The cottage is set amidst 50 acres of private woodland and wild meadow with frontage onto the loch.
“Set in to the bank of the valley alongside a soothing stream and overlooking Loch Tay, Waterfall Cottage is the perfect place to withdraw from the daily grind and reacquaint with the beauty of the land. On the inside it’s well appointed and includes a good set of kitchen equipment and knives, a dishwasher, and a Bluetooth-capable music player. We’d recommend crossing the stream adjacent to the cottage and heading down the bank on the cut paths until you reach a small pebbled beach on the loch-side—particularly atmospheric as the light fades. If you like a waterfall then don’t miss the Falls of Acharn and the Birks of Aberfeldy too!”
If you love the outdoors but don’t want to bunk down in a bothy, then this modern house with its uninterrupted views of Loch Tay is for you. After a day of walking the hills or mountain biking in the nearby forestry, you can relax and unwind with the modern comforts this house offers. Enjoy a home cooked dinner at the large dining table or a film from the DVD collection. Or why not chill out with your favourite tunes via Bluetooth as you lounge on the comfortable sofa.
“A beautiful location with a stunning view. The house was spotless and had everything we needed. The booking and communication with the host could not be faulted. Would definitely recommend for those wanting somewhere quiet with short drives to nearby towns and sights.”
