Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Island of Hawai'i

A great location, beautiful views, and a great host team.

We had the dream family trip of a lifetime. The kids loved the pool—morning, noon and evening except when we went off on adventures. The neighborhood was quiet and within walking distance of a rocky beach. The house was roomy and well stocked with two large, long dining tables, one indoors and the other on an enclosed porch outdoors. Perfect for family dining. Joe and Anna were lovely hosts, pleasant and informative. We’d definitely recommend this home to anyone.

Wonderful place for our several days there. Fantastic view and very spacious. Several restaurants were in town. Waimea had few tourists but still was close to several small out-of-the-way towns we otherwise would not have thought of to visit.

Saul's place is perfectly named - "Peace of Paradise!" Sitting on the huge lanai, listening to the waves crash against the shoreline beneath, taking in the sweeping views of Hilo Bay and the open ocean with the palm trees swaying in front of you and tropical birds singing sweetly around you, how can you feel anything other than peaceful and happy? This is a truly special place - so lovely and private and cozy. So many places that try to maximize views and have this many windows feel cold or exposed. Not Saul's! He has anticipated all the comforts and conveniences. The warmth of the wooden furnishings and floors, the abundance of comfortable furniture, the covered roof over the lanai, and all the amenities you could want in kitchen and bathroom made us feel very well cared for and we promised ourselves we will return as soon as possible :)

Wonderful location, private with beautiful grounds. Loved watching the wildlife in the mornings. Kitchen was well stocked, had a bit of trouble with the stove, but finally figured it out. Everything looked exactly like the photos, so no surprises. Would definitely recommend, especially as the host was very helpful and responsive.

We came to Big Island to enjoy calm and recharge. Eliot's place offers just like that as his house is spacious and plenty of space between properties with peaceful surroundings. because the home sits in a large ground in suburb of Hilo. Downtown Pahoa is close so you can dine out and get shopping done easily if you want. Eliot is kind and smart owner to take care of home and our needs. He was always responsive and come back with a solution for our questions.

Our family loved the house. There was plenty of space for everyone and the set up was perfect for our needs. We especially loved sitting on the lanai in the mornings and evenings, and falling asleep to the sound of the tree frogs. The location was a further from the ocean than we realized, but we enjoyed the lushness of the hilly terrain and would stay there again. Susan and Iris were very responsive when we reported a few minor appliance issues and it didn't impact our overall experience.

We absolutely loved our stay! Our host was super responsive, so incredibly nice, checked in several times during the week, and had great recommendations for an off the beaten path waterfall to swim in, or a beach close by, when we asked for recommendations. The property is STUNNING and the house had every amenity we could have needed. When we had questions or issues she responded to messages within minutes and was onsite within the hour to show us how to do the things she recommended. Would love to come stay again!

This was such a wonderful place to disconnect from the busy world. The freshly grown tangerines were delicious. The kitchen was great, the overall vibe of the house was very relaxing. When we walked in we started to immediately relax. Sally was very responsive. Definitely a unique and relaxing experience

Fantastic little spot in Volcano! We were minutes away from the park and woke up early to see the eruption. Make sure to bring in drinking water, as we forgot but luckily found a spot in town to buy some :). I’d definitely book again!
