Holiday rentals with breakfast in Isle of Man

A great place to stay, with easy access to the local Spar shop and the pub! Colby is also a good point to start from if you are a motorcyclist, and want to explore the local lanes/roads. Easy house to find from Douglas if you arrive in the dead of night, as I did. (The A27 from Colby to Peel is a great ride, and starts 100 yards down the road from Ben's house.) The house drive is also relativley flat, a plus point. There is plenty of room to manouvre a fully laden bike, which mine was. Had a nice chat with Ben, and surprising how many things we had in common! I will be staying again, very soon I hope.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Zara’s place. Lots of wildlife and scenery. Peaceful and easy walking into the village. Big breakfast served every day and flexible breakfast times. Nice lounge area to chill out and make a hot drink in the evening.

Wir waren sehr gern bei Christa. Auf Anhieb haben wir uns sehr willkommen und wohl gefühlt. Zentral und gut erreichbar in Douglas, während der TT ein zusätzlicher Vorteil weil einige Spots um die Rennen zu sehen zu Fuß gut und schnell erreichbar sind. Wir kommen gerne wieder. Vielen Dank

The landlord is very nice, and their family takes good care of us. They provide transportation, so there's no need for public transport. If I have the chance, I'll come again and recommend it to my friends. The room environment is excellent, with all the necessary facilities. It's very impressive five stars.

Zara hat eine sehr schöne Unterkunft. Es gibt viel zu sehen und es gibt immmer was neues zu entdecken. Es ist mal was ganz anderes als man es von einer "Standartunterkunft" erwarten würde. Auf dem Hof gibt es auch Tiere, wie Pferde, Pfauen, Katzen und Hühner. Eine idyllische Umgebung und im Haus finden sich jede Menge besondere Seltenheiten aus Vergangenen Zeiten. Wirklich empfehlenswert! Ich werde auf jedefall zurückkommen.

La maison est isolée pas facile à trouver. Le GPS dit"la prochaine à droite". Moi je me dit "t'es sûr c'est un chemin au milieu des champs ! ". Au bout du chemin il y a bien une maison. Un super accueil. Il y a plein d'animaux (paons, poules,lapins, chevaux). On se sent comme à la maison. A l'intérieur, on ne sait pas où regarder: il y a des objets, des livres les plus diverses. Endroit que nous n'aurions jamais trouvé si nous étions restés toujours au même endroit. L'île est petite mais grande par sa diversité. Un moment agréable de calme, éloigné de la ville et du TT. Le petit déjeuner est généreux, l'hôte s'adapte (étant français, on a des difficultés avec le petit déjeuner typique anglais).

Essie and Peter are the perfect hosts, nothing was too much trouble. Besides their house being absolutely beautiful, their location is just by the sea and cliffs and is idyllic. You can't ask for more being able to eat your plentiful breakfast whilst being able to look out over the ocean. A huge thank you to you both for making our stay so comfortable and memorable!

It was such a pleasure to meet Lyn and to be welcomed into her stunning home. The house, along with the fascinating items in the rooms and the history of the building, made for truly engaging and interesting conversations. Although we encountered a small issue, I appreciated how promptly it was addressed, followed by a personal apology. That level of care and responsiveness stood out to me, and it’s a testament to the graciousness as a host. Rest assured, it did not in any way diminish my visit. I thoroughly enjoyed my time and am already looking forward to the possibility of returning in the future. Thanks again for the hospitality.

Stayed for 5 nights as a central location to explore the Isle of Man. Victoria and Paul were so welcoming, nothing was as too much. We felt as comfortable as if we were at home.!! Breakfasts were outstanding, anything catered for. Very comfortable room and bed, slept so well, also the soothing sound of the brook behind the house. There is easy off road parking too. Highly recommend this accommodation if you want a quiet, peaceful break from it all.
