Outdoor hot tub, filled with spring water! This unique and peaceful retreat makes it easy to relax. You can get to the yard by car, from the airport by car about 50 minutes. The cottage and sauna (access from the terrace) have been renovated. The sauna has an eco toilet. In summer, only the outdoor eco toilet is in use (the hot tub is also available in summer for an additional fee). In addition, the cottage creates a fireplace and great views of the lake. There's also no light pollution here, so you can spot the aurora borealis while lounging in bed.

A wilderness cottage on the shore of a beautiful lake in silence

A cosy wilderness cabin in the tranquility of nature on the shore of a beautiful wilderness lake. Great hiking opportunities. The cottage is located on a large private property 6 km from the owner's home. Access to the cottage is only through the owner's home yard area. No close neighbors. The cottage can be reached by car. The guest must be an experienced guest who controls the wood-burning fireplaces and the use of a gas stove. Also used to survive in different natural conditions at different times of the year.

Welcome to my holiday home in the heart of Saariselkä – only a few minutes' walk away of Urho Kekkonen National Park trailheads. I renovated and furnished my home completely in 2023 with all modern amenities while preserving the traditional stone-built fireplace and Finnish sauna. With three beds upstairs and a large sofa bed downstairs, the accommodation is comfortable for various types of groups. The remote working space, fully equipped kitchen and laundry also make it ideal for a longer stay.

Savu is furnished with style by Finnish design. You can chill along fireplace and check aurora borealis from your own pier. Savu has also an exotic smoke sauna in the same building what you can also rent for an extra fee. Hot tube is also possible to rent. Ice swimming is possible as well.

A modern, fully equipped villa next to the Kiilopää fell, less than a 10-minute walk from Urho Kekkonen National Park. Very quiet location. Equipment rental and a´la carte restaurant can be found within walking distance. Saariselkä's ski slopes and other services can be found within a 20-minute drive. The villa is suitable for a couple, family or group of friends.
