It was really difficult to book a room, but I finally got the chance. For one night! I can understand why it's so popular - Easy to find, exceptional access to train station and ferries. And the staff there were super warm, friendly and very helpful. shout out to Takashi, Minh and their colleagues for being such great hosts. The included breakfast set was really nice. All this made up for the room which was a wee tight for a couple.

Tolle Unterkunft direkt am Hafen, daher perfekt für Besuche von Naoshima und Teshima. Die Leute, die hier arbeiten, sind super freundlich, sprechen sehr gut Englisch und helfen mit Tipps zur Stadt und den Inseln. Leckeres Frühstück und hervorragender Kaffee. Wir haben zwei Nächte hier verbracht und waren super zufrieden.

We’ve had a lovely and comfortable stay. Futon beds were comfortable and shower was good. The location of the inn is perfect, close by the train station and the ferry to Noashima island. We were received with genuine warmth and all relevant information we could need. We will gladly come back again to visit Teshima island that time as well.

The Uno Port Inn was perfectly located right between the train station and port and served as the perfect launching point for our visits to Naoshima and Teshima. The Miyazaki room was small and the bathroom was down the hall, but it was all as described and served our needs fine. We appreciated the very friendly and proactive staff that was always there in the lobby to greet us every day, and the breakfast was a nice bonus as well. We had a very beautiful, quiet stay.

Der Aufenthalt im Uno Nido hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Schon vor dem Check-In war die Kommunikation großartig. Wir kamen leider etwas später dort an als geplant aber es war kein Problem. Yumi war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Unterkunft war sehr schön gestaltet, in einem alten japanischen Haus, sehr geschmackvoll renoviert und designed. Wir haben uns dort sehr wohl gefühlt und können Uno Nido nur jedem ans Herz legen, der nach einer tollen Unterkunft sucht.

The inn is just a corner to the station, shopping malls and food stalls. Moreover the check in steeping is piece of cake. I highly recommend to enjoy.😊

Uno Nido is absolutely beautiful and Yumi is a wonderful host. The space was designed by Yumi’s architect husband and the attention to detail is amazing. The space is very calm and relaxing, allow some time to enjoy it. Yumi is a great host, lots of recommendations for restaurants and shopping in Uno, all we tried were great. Ferries to Naoshima and Teshima are at your doorstep. Fog delayed the ferries one morning but otherwise we had no trouble. We had originally booked to stay at Benesse House but staying at Uno Nido was far more economical and meant we could stay 3 nights - highly recommended, there’s so much to see on Naoshima and Teshima, don’t rush it.

Amazing!! The beauty - both inside and out - is unsurpassed. Spectacular views from every unit. Great set up for bedrooms and common spaces. We rented all 3 units so had exclusive use of the large dining room for our family group of 16. Easy access to beach with sauna and jacuzzi - really fun to walk out to the island and shrine at low tide. Clear water, gentle sloping beach - kids swam for hours. Staff went above and beyond to be welcoming and accommodating. They helped us schedule a chef to come in and serve dinners and breakfasts - local, fresh food was delicious! A unique, secluded, off-the-beaten-track locale. Highly recommended!!
