Exceptional. A home from home feeling. Absolutely the place to recharge yourself. Put the fire on, get your book out, and enjoy the wonderful view of the sea and mountains. Go to bed, open the window, feel the fresh cold sea breeze flow through the room and fall asleep with the waves hitting the rocks. No need counting sheep, your gone ZZzzz. Communication was excellent, instructions clear and super warm upon arrival. Everything you could ask for in the home. We have stayed in many places, and many have left you wishing you had packed something! NOT HERE. The small details that make you feel you have chosen the right home are important. I had my reservations over jacuzzi, but this one was perfect. Super-hot with great sea view of the mountains. Getting here was relaxed, the views are spectacular, and the roads are cleared. Kvalöya Lodge is one of the nicest places we've ever had and Ketil is the nicest and most caring host you can imagine. We especially enjoyed the view of the fjord, the evening fireplace, the northern lights and Ketil's tips (Husky tour with Active Tromsö, reindeer herds (they like carrots by the way), Sommaröy, Eidel Handel (great supermarket for self-catering), Söstrene Kafé in Tromsvik). We ended up with a lot of snow - fortunately the country road is well cleared 24/7. Snowshoes and spikes are at guests' disposal.

We are no strangers to Tromso but this was the first time we had stayed at Monica's place. We were very pleased to have chosen to do so though and thoroughly enjoyed our visit. The instructions on how to get there were good although we perhaps wouldn't have tried to drive the final 400m to the house at all if we'd appreciated just how tricky that can be even when it's been 'cleared' and the car tyres were studded. Better is just to park in the garage at the top. The guide to the house also covered everything and we enjoyed in particular the sauna and fire (lots of wood provided). The hot tub is a more basic one but we still enjoyed using it a couple of times. The location is great for the Northern Lights with low light pollution and possibility to walk all the way round the house on the veranda. The house is very well equipped and we discovered the local reindeer whilst making good use of the snow shoes. We'd thoroughly recommend Monica and her beautiful house and happily stay again.

Amazing cabin in Ringvassøya, as quiet as the arctic countryside but conveniently located 30mins from Tromsø! The house, fully furnished and equipped, is just beautiful, it feels like being on a boat… the sauna in front of the Ocean is an absolute blast! Tina and René have been super reactive and helpful when needed! Couldn’t ask for more! :) hope to see you next time!

Having stayed here a couple of years ago already, this was our second visit and again we weren't disappointed. We almost needed to drive the long way round again due to avalanches on the road leading to the ferry but thankfully this time it was running when we needed it and Izzy and Romain went out of their way to ensure we had up to date information on the status. Needless to say, this shouldn't put others off because it's rather rare that conditions prevent the ferry from running. Likewise, the stairs up to the house are quite a workout with luggage but it's well worth the effort. The combination of sauna and hot tub as well as a spacious living area and great view make for a wonderful stay and the Northern Lights also provided entertainment. We made a trip out to the Bivrost distillery but otherwise just enjoyed the house and surrounds. It's a fab setting to just chill and recharge.

Amazing place with magnificent views from every room. Great location, we skied right off of our cabin, enjoyed the amazing views from the sauna and caught the northern lights too. Christopher was a great host, always responsive and friendly. We would definitely be back and highly recommend this beautiful private cabin in the Lyngen Alps!

The two of us spent a great ski tour week in this cozy and practical accommodation. It offers enough space and space even for a bad weather day, is well equipped and very pleasant. Located at the northern end of the Lyngen Alps, the surroundings are quiet, but there is a supermarket and great tour grounds (a few minutes by car). The house is a little closer to the street and to other houses than we would have thought, but there is very little traffic (cul-de-sac) and the surroundings are very quiet, so this was not a problem at all. The kitchen equipment was really good, there is fast internet and communication with the hosts was extremely friendly and helpful. We are very grateful to have spent a nice week here, can highly recommend the accommodation and would love to come back again.

Everything was a great fit, starting from the key handover using the box next to the front door, the preheated house, the PERFECTLY equipped kitchen (incl. Spices and everything you need!) - we were 6 people, even 1 night 7 and you have great space. Very cozy couch, ski boot dryer, storage room, sauna, cozy terrace where you can enjoy the sun for a very long time. The location was also really perfect as a starting point for some ski tours and also super many ski tours were just a few minutes away. We would book the cabin again and again!

We stayed three nights at Helenes house and it was very cozy. Especially, the barbeque area, sauna and whirlpool was very nice to enjoy the northern lights and chill evenings.
