As your guide, I will personally accompany you to help you discover the landscapes and customs of Ibel and Lwol. Human connections, walks and timeless moments – your stay will be much more than just accommodation: it will be a true adventure.

The Bassari Cabin

Welcome to Ibel, my village, in the heart of Pays Bassari. You will stay in a small traditional hut, surrounded by nature, roosters and children playing. The common areas are also those of my family: we eat together, we chat, and if you feel like it, you can participate in the life of the village. Besides being your host, I'm also a local guide. I know the region well and can take you to see villages lost among mountains, ancient baobabs and roads that do not appear on the maps.

These are three traditional bedrooms located in the heart of the village of Ibel, within a family home. You will be welcomed in close proximity to our family, which encourages interaction, sharing and a genuine experience of everyday life: the architecture, way of life, atmosphere and hospitality reflect the region's cultural richness. Here, there is no standardised tourism, but rather a personal, warm and profoundly enriching stay.

Traditional Fulani tent

Live an authentic immersion in the heart of the Bassari Country, a region classified as a UNESCO cultural heritage. Hosted by Samba, a village teacher, you will stay in a traditional Fulani hut and share the daily life of a family. Discovery of the Bassari and Bédik villages, spectacular nature, local craft workshops and participation in the village activities for a human, cultural and unique journey.

Authenticity and nature within a close-knit community. The hut is individual in a Peulh family. If you want, you can share our culture, tradition and gastronomy. I am a tourist guide and I know the Bassari area well. I can accompany you to discover the Iwol Andiel sites, the Indefelo waterfall, the Dandé caves, the salemanta caves, Ethiolo and traditional festivals.

River Eco-Camp

The Eco-Campement du fleuve is the best accommodation in the Kedougou area. A magical place with a splendid view of the Gambia River in which it is very pleasant to swim. We are lucky to observe many kinds of birds.
