Highly recommended—perfect for a family getaway, business trip, or a peaceful retreat! Our stay was absolutely wonderful. My family and I truly loved the place—it genuinely felt like a home away from home. The space was neatly organized, spotless, and set in a calm, clean environment. The rooms were well-ventilated and equipped with air conditioning, making our stay very comfortable. The ambiance was serene and welcoming. Thanks for the hospitality! We had a great stay here. Had our own private roof terrace which was very chilled and comfortable. Rooms were spotless and cleaned daily and our host and staff very friendly and hospitable. We also got transportation very easily to Malindi airport that we asked for! Lovely stay and would recommend, really great value for money.

This place is definitely worth your time looking at. I thought I’d miss being right at the beach, but honestly, we looked forward to coming ‘home’ to Joseph and David and the calm, quiet, cool of Ruby House. We spent time reading, playing games, reconnecting and resting, as well as swimming and bobbing in the creek - listening and watching birds. It is so peaceful - chatting with fishermen, and just taking in the surroundings. We went for a few day trips- the Gede ruins are well worth an hour of your time, sand dunes north of malindi were great. And we LOVED Garoda Beach - much less seaweed and less busy. I could not speak more highly of the staff - they were present but not, flexible, understanding and really wanted to help make your time enjoyable. The rooms were so comfortable. I think it may be a little hot in the very hot month, but it gets a lovely breeze and there is always the one room to escape into for an afternoon nap if necessary - but we didn’t need to do this. Thanks!

We had a wonderful stay. Katie was always friendly and responsive, and Beatrice, Anderson and Ngala made our time extra peacfeul. We loved having Sophie the cat around. The house is a short tuk-tuk drive away from the creek with some really wonderful restaurants around. It's exactly as showed on the pictures, we slept in the lower two rooms as we visited just as the raint season started and the top bedroom is a little exposed, but very beautiful if you're staying in the dry season. Would really recommend :)

Felt at home in this house…very peaceful and spacious house and property. The pool is lovely and great for kids and really feels private. Paul and Evans work hard and make sure you are ok, but also give space so you have privacy. The fans worked well to keep us cool at night. The house is in a great location, not far from Lichthaus/Garoda Beach area. Emilie is a wonderful host and very accommodating and communicative. Only spent a couple days there, but it was a nice break for our family.

We had a good stay at Prudence's house. It is a modern, new, beautiful house. The pool is also suitable for night swimmers. It's very quiet. With the tuk tuk you are quickly in the center of Malindi.

A really beautiful house in Watamu, nicer and more welcoming than the photos. We were two families; 4 adults and 4 children in total. The size of the house was perfect and the kids spent all day in the pool, which was well shaded. The outdoor seating area was great for the evenings. And the food prepared by Jackson was delicious.

Lovely appartment just in front of the beach and close to all amenities. Very good communication with Alessandro who was always prompt to responding to queries. The A/C in the room was much appreciated! The nearby hôtels are a bit noisy over the week end. Overall a very pleasant experience!

we had a fantastic experience staying at this Airbnb in shanzu Mombasa. The property was exactly as described, clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The host was very welcoming, responsive, and made sure everything was perfect throughout my stay. The location was convenient, with easy access to local attractions, beaches except restaurants. I especially appreciated the peaceful atmosphere and the thoughtful touches that made it feel like home with my family. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone visiting Mombasa.

This is our second year staying at White House in Watamu and we will go back again next time we visit. It is a great location on part of the Watamu beach that we think is the best. It is easy to walk out of the gate and you are on the beach in 1 minute. The house is wonderful with enough fans that even on the hottest days you are able to keep cool. We like the fact that it is across from the Kobe Resort so you can go over and grab a drink or food plus there is always enough transportation nearby to run into town. The staff are wonderful and keep the house clean and are helpful if you need anything. The chef makes fantastic meals and we ate in most of the time as he can just order fish, shrip, lobster, crab right to the house. Overall a wonderful experience and we look forward to going back again next time we are in Watamu.

Lovely place, well managed by Manni, great swimming pool, shady so cool and quiet with a decent breeze most of the time. Great food and very helpful staff. Nice spacious bedrooms with aircon and fans. A 20 min walk to the beach or a 5 min boda trip.

we had the best stay at Silvyas place. The ocean view from the apartment was amazing, access to the beach was easy any time and our chef Gibson was amazing too and on time as well.Silvya is also very Jovial 😊. Value for money and we will be back

Your staff was incredibly professional and helpful throughout our stay. The pool was definitely my favorite spot, but what truly stood out was the fact that the water in your villa is salt-free — such a rare and refreshing feature on the Coast! Time slows down as you recline on the cushions, a frosty drink in hand, your face cooled by the breeze. Looking out over Takaungu bay, the flippers of the fishermen bobbing up and down in the waves, dhows outlining the horizon, the kids distracted in the pool, gives you the space to let go of your city worries and let the serenity wash over you like the waves of a calm mid-month ocean tide. Thank you Charlie and Philip and the amazing team for taking such good care of us. Christine's lemon cake will not be soon forgotten! We will be back!

Alot of value for money

I came back again after four years and found everything the same I left. Wonderful people, Exemplary Service and responsive team of Stefan. I tried to meet and contact Mr. Patrick also but never made it, hope he's fit fine and healthy. On the whole, a well designed place not full of decor but blissfull experience. Thank you Mr. Stefan and his team.

Mercy is an excellent host. I enjoyed my stay at her lovely place. It was clean, private and in a quiet neighbourhood. Gateaway for two? I highly recommend you stay with Mercy.

Very responsive host, he helped me and my friend alot when we had no clue. Would recommend anyone to book his place, i must get back there when visiting mombasa again.

Caroline’s place was easy to find, approx 30 mins from Malindi airport. A beautiful traditional Watamu house, with lots of space for our party of 4 to spread out. 5 minutes walk to gorgeous Fortamu beach, with several local restaurants to choose from. 10minute tuk-tuk/bike (boda-boda) ride to local village for lovely arts & crafts. Caroline was a great communicator and gave suggestions of places to visit. Big thanks to Julius, the patient groundsman and smiley Lavine, the housekeeper, who always kept the house clean and tidy. Will definitely recommend Caroline’s place! 🙂
