The Red House

With the new airport in Qaqortoq, ‘The Red House’ is the perfect base for all the ‘must-see’ excursions in South Greenland. And what’s more, Qaqortoq is a beautiful town to relax in. The property is a charming, classic, colourful house, originally built for a family of six. It is situated slightly uphill, offering a fantastic view of the fjord, the town and the mountains surrounding the town. Qaqortoq is not so big that you can’t get everywhere on a brisk walk; the town centre and the old town can be reached in 10–15 minutes.

It is ideal for families, travellers and small groups who want an authentic experience of South Greenland in comfortable surroundings. The accommodation has a spacious and functional layout with plenty of space for relaxing after the day's experiences. Here you can enjoy the beautiful view and the special Arctic atmosphere as the light plays over the landscape.

My home is close to nightlife, the airport and downtown. You'll love my place because of the views, location, and surroundings. My place is good for couples, business travelers and families (with kids). IMPORTANT: From 1 January 2026, an accommodation tax of DKK 30 per person per night will be charged for guests who are not resident in Greenland. The tax is paid separately after booking the house and goes to the Greenland authorities. Thank you for your understanding!

Relax in this unique and peaceful house, which is located on Prs. Benediktesvej B765. The room has access to a small balcony with a fantastic view of the fjord and the town, which is in a quiet area. Maximum 10 minutes to the city centre. If the bus is running, it will stop right outside the door. The kitchen and bathroom/toilet are shared with the two of us, Bent and Karina, and other tenants, as the room next door is also rented out.

Bathroom has a composting toilet and no shower.
