The cabin is located by Tinnsjøen lake with parking right beside it. It is 6 kilometers from Mæl ferry rental in the direction of Atrå. It is 17 kilometres to Rjukan, 25 kilometres to Gaustatoppen mountain and beautiful mountain areas. Beautiful views, plenty of sun. There is no running water in the cabin, but water tap just outside. Free wood for the wood stove. When there's frost and freezing temperatures, there's no water in the tap outside. Water must be collected from the host. Rowing boat is available for free. Outboard motor 1-3 days NOK 400, -

Cozy 1850 Firehouse/Back House The cabin has been converted to an annex/small cabin where there is one room with a double bed. Dining nook inside. Outdoor kitchen with fridge, and gas hob. BBQ. Bathroom in the neighboring building. The duvet and pillow are in the cabin. Bed linen must be ordered separately for 150 per person. It is a short distance to the mountain, Tinnsjøen, bike rides and hikes in the nearby area. During summertime you can swim and fish in the river just below. The tourist commune offers varied experiences and activities for everyone.

At 920 metres above sea level, you will have fantastic views of Gaustatoppen, peaceful surroundings and very good sunlight from morning to evening. A short distance to Snaufjellet, great hiking opportunities, fishing, swimming and cross-country skiing, in addition to mountain farm life at Håvardsrud and the cultural heritage at Rjukan, which is on the UNESCO World Heritage List. Gaustablikk ski centre is 50 km from the cabin. The cabin is well suited for families and guests who want tranquillity, nature, views and great experiences all year round.

Here you can stay close to one of Norway's largest alpine resorts (Gaustablikk) and experience mountain trips, golf course, water park, riding center, historical experiences, museum, shopping in Rjukan. The house overlooks one of Norway's most beautiful mountain peaks (Gaustadtoppen) and a nice waterfall in the summer. The house has good room solutions over three floors with family bunk beds in the bedrooms. Cook good food in our large kitchen and have fun in our activity room with exercise equipment and games. On the loft you have the opportunity to adjust beds as needed. You will find most of what you need for a relaxing trip to the mountains. Large window surfaces, where you can enjoy Gausta's "wild" nature. Ski in/out right outside the door, short distance to cross-country ski trails. Nearby you will find restaurants and bars.

Short distance to all amenities at Gaustablikk. There has been maintenance on the building this summer, but it is finished now. Cleaning can be ordered for NOK 500

The cabin is newly built in 2023, luxurious, fully equipped, with WiFi included. Bedding&towels can be rented for €20 per person.
