Mountain Views and Starry Skies in the Countryside

Come enjoy the quiet of the country, only 15 minutes south of town. Stunning views of the La Plata Mountains and dark night skies for great star-gazing! Nice area for cycling and walking. Many of our neighbors have donkeys, horses, llamas and goats, chicken and sheep. No cigarette smoking but we are 420 friendly (outside only please!). We are a safe place for women travelers. There is a very friendly Labrador Retriever and a Basset Hound that live on this property but not allowed in the apt.

Art Shack - A Tiny Cabin For 2

Take it easy at this unique, tranquil getaway in the rural Hesperus/ Durango/Mancos area. The views of the La Platas and Sleeping Ute are ever changing, awe inspiring, and constant from the rustic deck of The Art Shack. This is a glamping cabin with a composting toilet and queen bed. On the property are cats, two dogs, two equines (you will hear our burro braying), neighboring farm animals, and the wild critters that inhabit our corner of La Plata County.

Quiet and peaceful you will be on the edge of the San Juan National Forest at the end of the maintained road of the Forest Lakes subdivision. Footsteps from miles of hiking and biking trails!

Lakeside Haven

Welcome to our little slice of heaven. The apartment is above our detached garage and accessed through a separate private entrance. We've equipped it with everything you might need for a comfortable, relaxing stay. The neighborhood offers a lake (with a walking trail) right across the street, National Forest access, and wildlife (deer, turkeys, the occasional bear). We do live onsite and are here should you have questions or need recommendations.

Hidden Valley Hideaway

Spectacular views of the surrounding valley and mountains, fifteen minutes from downtown Durango, this private entranced room is located in Hidden Valley, known by locals for its beautiful views and near by hiking/biking trails. This listing is for one bedroom with a queen size bed, private bathroom with shower, a table/sitting area with mini refrigerator, coffee and tea. There is additional private outside seating with a small table.
