Holiday rentals in LaGrange County

‘‘Tis Our Cottage exceeded all my expectations. The home was immaculately clean and so comfortable. From the farmhouse fixtures to the integrated Bluetooth speakers to the modern and well-stocked kitchen, every detail was thought out. We especially loved spending time on the deck overlooking the lake- the fall decorations made it feel like home, and the lake was so beautiful and peaceful. My husband enjoyed fishing from the dock and the water was so clear you could watch the fish swim right up to the bait. Also was a reasonable drive up to visit Lake Michigan and a short trip to Amish country in Shipshewana. We will be making this a regular retreat when we need a break from real life.

LOVED it! Was there on a business trip in late winter, and wished it was for pleasure, and in a warmer month, so I could enjoy the lake it sits on, and get to relax while there. However, I was overwhelmed with prep for television and radio appearances and a live cooking show, so I only had the pleasure of using the AWESOME soaking tub to de-stress from super long hectic days, sleeping very well in oh-so-comfy bedding, and tossing together breakfast in a charming kitchen stocked with basics, as well as a well-stocked coffee bar. I thought the fresh creamer in the fridge was a nice touch, and I loved sitting at the kitchen table enjoying my coffee and the beautiful lake view. I hope to return some day -under less stressful circumstances- so I can get to enjoy all its outdoor amenities in warmer weather, too. I also want to mention that I felt very safe staying there alone (owners live next door) and the place is so cozy I felt like I was at home throughout my entire 3-day stay.

Shannon's place was very clean and comfortable. Sitting on the deck or in the hot tub, looking out over the lake was very relaxing. Hope to go back soon!

It is a great cozy little lake getaway. The host has the place stocked with anything and everything that you would need. Perfect for anyone who might forget something. it has a beautiful view of theLake. Aaron was a great host to deal with. We enjoyed our stay.

Nate and Autumn’s place was just perfect and exactly as described. We loved the private location and the beautiful surroundings. The pathways through the woods were awesome for a late afternoon walk, as well. We definitely will stay here again.

We have stayed here two years in a row for our annual sisters’ trip and plan to stay again next year. It’s clean and in a quiet neighborhood. It’s right in the center of the shopping and restaurants we like to visit. Great place to stay!

We booked last minute due to other plans falling through due to floods in Kentucky. Jo was amazing and got us booked quickly. The cottage was comfortable. The lake was beautiful and peaceful. We will be returning when it's warm. We had an enjoyable trip exploring Shipshewana. We read in the sunroom and loved relaxing with a beautiful view. Thank you Jo for hosting us!
