Holiday rentals with breakfast in Lake Bunyonyi

Jonathan is a member of local community and he is accepting his guests in his own house giving 1 room with bed (with mosquitiere). There is no running water or shower but water in the lake is clean. If you want to experience how normal Ugandans live this is a place for you. To come to Jonathan place you need to take boda (7000 SH in november 2022) to the small harbour with a boats. From there locals can take you on the other shore.

Sans doute une des plus belles expériences de voyage. J´avais réservé 4 nuits, je suis resté une nuit de plus et je ne voulais plus partir. Bonnie est super, c´est une personne très accueillante, toujours souriante, toujours prête à prodiguer des conseils. Chez Bonnie on fait partie de la famille. Ses deux enfants sont curieux et sociables et toujours de bonne humeur. J´espère te revoir Bonnie, merci pour tout. Je me rappellerai toute ma vie de ces quelques jours chez toi.

Christian was excellent in his communication and responded to my requests very quickly! Jackline, his manager, was so lovely, kind, helpful, fun! She made sure I was well taken care of, came to say hello daily, was a real bonus to my stay! The place is beautiful, well built, thoughtfully decorated, very clean and far away from the noisey center. And the air was much fresher, not stinky from car fumes! There are lovely gardens and beautiful little birds. And the raised Pavillion was amazing, allowing one to view the surrounding countryside and volcanoes in the distance. Highly recommend this lovely place!

I was happy to be hosted by Christian, a very very responsive and supportive person. The place is hygienic, matches the pictures and close to a lot of services (restaurant, Musanze central market, and the main car station).

Very clean place. I felt very home. The apartment was so clean and really felt I was in my element: Spotless places, White clean sheets, food tasted really good, and staff was very friendly. I woke up and found my car was washed by one of the housekeepers. It was a nice gesture.

Grace et son mari sont très accueillants. La maison est parfaite. Propre, confortable, chaleureuse. Tout est très soigné. Grace avait prévu pleins de bonnes choses pour notre petit dejeuner. Une très bonne adresse à Musanze!

Every year, I travel to Musanze to visit a project we have outside of Musanze with my husband and Rwandan colleagues. This time we rented the entire house, A Peace of Rwanda. Sonia is a sweetheart and she was very flexible when we had to change our dates last minute. The house is spacious, comfortable and clean and the wifi is reliable. The bathroom is well appointed, the beds are comfy, and the garden is peaceful and beautiful. However, the thing that made this house the very best was the staff. Patrick and his team made us immediately feel at home. They spoiled us by being so attentive to our needs, even things we didn't know we needed, like cleaning our shoes! In addition to breakfast we had two dinners at the house and the food was delicious and plentiful. That was enormously appreciated after a long day working in the village and without lunch. My colleagues and all agree that this is the best place to stay. We will DEFINITELY be back next year!

I stayed two nights as a solo traveler visiting the national park to do gorilla trekking and other activities, following a conference in Kigali. Bernice and the staff were extremely helpful in helping me find the place, cooking meals, and giving local recommendations. With their help, I was able to arrange a boat tour on lake Ruhondo. Breakfast was included, and I paid a fair price for dinners and packed lunches -- the food was excellent and abundant. The grounds are tranquil and mostly quiet despite being in the main village. I would stay again!

We are very grateful for the hospitality of Bernard, Regina, Alex, Allan and the family. We felt very welcome. We enjoyed the delicious food and it was nice to chat with everyone in the living room. Bernard took us to show us the tea fields and Alex helped us plan the Sabyinyo hike. Highly recommend staying here!

We enjoyed our stay. Seraphine and JP are very friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and there is access to some common areas. It's also nice to support a women's cooperative. Location is good - close to restaurants and not far to the Volcanoes NP HQ (25 mins).

Thank you for a lovely stay Onesmus. I was travelling alone and Onesmus took the time to introduce me to someone else staying at the Guesthouse which for me was a nice touch. Simple cooking and laundry facilities also available. I chose this place partly due to the fantastic reviews of the breakfast and I was not disappointed.

Great stay in the Island. We were upgraded from the round house to ha house with a large balcony overlooking the lake. Super nice rooms and joint area. We were welcomed by Hilary the great boatman who took us to the island and at the island the friendly staff. Unfortunately it was raining the whole time we were there so we didn’t get to enjoy the island and lake as much as we could. But we utilisée the fact that we could relax under the terrace roof and read books and play games. Be aware of many scams in Kabale. We were approached by many taxis going there saying that the place had arranged pick up even though this was not true. On the way back we wanted to go with bus, but Jaguar bus scammed us and gave us expensive tickets 40k each for a bus that never came. So we were put in a car that drove us to the boarder (20 mins) and then in a small bus which we know only costs 6k. This was very frustrating. So be aware and talk with the hosts to figure the best solution out.
