Bianca and Rob were incredibly gracious hosts during our long weekend. From the start of our booking, Bianca offered to book dinner reservations, wine tastings, and local hikes, all to make our stay memorable. Our biggest regret is we took her dinner recommendation: after our first meal with her we knew we should have eaten every meal at the studio. Bianca is a fantastic cook and everything was incredibly fresh (we watched Rob forage the fruit and vegetables from their amazing garden!) Rob and Bianca designed and built the entire space themselves and we loved hearing Rob’s story of building it from the ground up. The space was a labor of love and it was comfortable and beautiful down to every thoughtful detail, with the perfect amount of seclusion to unwind. I’ve stayed at so many home stays all over the world and I’ve never felt so welcome and at home with such genuine people. Wonderful stay. Even more wonderful people. Counting down till we can come back again.

The Retreat was truly amazing. Nested in a Cul De Sac, with extreme privacy and quiet, it provided the right setting for some good rest. Majorlein is a wonderful host and has designed the home expertly to ensure you have everything needed to unplug and thoroughly enjoy your stay. It is also quite spacious, airy, with multiple seating, lounging and resting areas. A truly wonderful location.

We had a fantastic stay at Maureen’s cottage in Hermanus! The location is perfect—just a (very) short walk to the town center with great shops, restaurants, and stunning walkways, and it’s only a 10-minute drive to beautiful sandy beaches. The cottage itself was spotless and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Even though it’s close to town, the neighborhood is peaceful and quiet, making it the perfect spot to relax. A big bonus was that it’s pet-friendly—we loved being able to bring our dog along! Maureen was a wonderful host—super friendly, laid-back, and made sure we had everything we needed. Would definitely recommend staying here and would love to come back!

We had a lovely time and really enjoyed our stay. The home was well suites to the needs of our family and was equipped with everything we needed to have an amazing stay. Fabulous place, right in the heart of Franschoek, close to the Wine Tram. Very warmly welcomed by hosts. Definitely the best breakfast we've had in years - and on the patio overlooking the lovely garden with swimming pool. The room was extremely comfortable and equipped with everything we needed. Can strongly recommend.

Value for money kindest people to stay with . Breakfast is great 👍 Bug rooms with very soft beds amazing to tell the truth . Will be back . Was a good stop over on our bike tour around the area . Dinner at Bourbons is a good one as well if you looking for food .

The location of the hotel is perfect. The room is like other reviews say, but this didn’t bother us at all. We only stayed one night, but we enjoyed our nightly and morning coffee near the pool. The room was clean and had everything we needed. The staff were very pleasant, welcoming, and accommodating. Would stay here again :)

The place is simple, but everything is done with love and a smile. The breakfast was very good despite load shedding, and the products like the oats and granola are carefully selected. We would have enjoyed a more modern bathroom, but others may like the vintage spirit.
