In the pleasant village of Great Waldingfield, with a pub, village shop, and close to Sudbury (3 miles), Lavenham (4 miles), Bury St. Edmunds(16 miles). We live next door so are happy to help with directions and what to do in the area.

Suitable for a couple who want to get away from it or two friends (having a room each) or a family with younger children. We are dog friendly too and the garden is fully fenced. Buttercup is a delightful newly thatched cottage situated in the picturesque village of Hartest. A large private garden with a footbridge across the stream makes way to beautiful open countryside and endless footpaths. One of which takes you to the superb village pub, only a 4 minute walk away and renowned for its great food and their own brewed craft beers. The historic market town of Bury St Edmunds, and villages Long Melford and Lavenham are just a short drive away.

The Hare’s Retreat, Great location & dog heaven!

The Hare’s retreat is one of two accommodations on site, the other ‘The Kingfisher Studio’. (not in view of each other) A beautifully converted garage/annex with its own independent access and garden. Located 150m off the A134, opposite Nowton park, and only 1.5 miles from the town centre. With approx 200m of river frontage and a good sized field and garden . The Annex has a large bedroom with kingsize bed, kitchen, wet room/WC and a small but comfortable living room.
