Cae Bach is a beautifully converted 1-bed barn set in three acres of mountainside garden. Nestled beneath the Dinorwig Slate Quarry (UNESCO World Heritage Site), on the edge of the Snowdonia National Park, the barn offers a secluded and relaxing retreat. Cae Bach sits within easy distance of the many attractions of Snowdonia; however, it is best suited to people looking to enjoy walks from the door, lake swims and cozy evenings by the fire.

Cuddfan, which means 'Hideaway' in Welsh, is a beautifully restored traditional quarryman's cottage at the foot of Snowdon (Yr Wyddfa) in the pretty village of Llanberis. Head uphill from the front door of this lovely holiday cottage on the quiet lane and you'll immediately find yourself in stunning scenery. There's fantastic access to the incredible mountain walking in this part of the world. The centre of Llanberis is a few minutes walk in the opposite direction. From here you can access the main Llanberis path up Snowdon or you may choose a less vigorous option and let the famous mountain railway take the strain! Llanberis itself has so many things to keep you occupied: hire canoes or paddleboards at Snowdonia Watersports to explore the lagoons and the lake. Choose a guide to take you on climbing adventures or hire bikes to discover the wide range of low-level cycle paths and more demanding mountain bike trails in the area. This is known as the adventure capital of the UK for good reason! When you're finally tired, you'll find Llanberis has a great choice of cafes (Pete's Eats the famous climbers' cafe is a rite of passage in itself with its half-pint mugs of tea and doorstep butties!). And there are pubs, restaurants and shops to provide relaxation and refuelling for tomorrow's adventures. Inside Cuddfan you'll find a warm, welcoming space with some lovely touches. The living/dining room is spacious and has comfy sofas and a cosy wood burner to relax in front of. The colourful kitchen beyond blends into the main living area and creates a lovely social space for friends and family. Outside, the sweet garden has great spaces for sunny barbeques and chilling out in the sunshine. For times when the weather isn't quite so good, what could be better than chilling in the summerhouse listening to the rushing mountain stream at the foot of the garden? You can cross this on your own private bridge and although it is gated from the garden, children should be supervised as it can become a torrent in wet weather. Upstairs you'll find the family bathroom and the large main bedroom. There is also a smaller single bedroom which also has a full-size single trundle bed available on request. With both beds made up, it is a slight squeeze but ideal should you wish to sleep a fourth person. We love Cuddfan - a perfect retreat for the adventurous or a cosy home from home for the more relaxed!
