Tips from locals
Local area with nice restaurants and close to the beach. Most popular for local
A neighborhood within Sant Martí known for its artistic vibe, Poblenou features art galleries, studios, and a bustling promenade along Bogatell Beach. It offers a mix of old industrial buildings and modern amenities.
El Poblenou has established itself as one of Barcelona's trendiest neighbourhoods; a vibrant yet peaceful village-like feel, adjacent to the fantastic beaches at the North end of Barcelona. Once at the heart of Barcelona's industrial revolution (often referred to as the 'Manchester of Catalonia') , Poblenou is now a thriving creative and tech hub, filled with tech startups, co-working spaces, speciality coffee shops and art galleries, and amazing bars, restaurants and cafes. Poblenou is set right on many of Barcelona's best beaches, with easy access for a stroll along the beach, a dip in the Mediterranean, a summer cerveza at a beachside chiringuito, or partaking in some watersports at La Base Náutica: the city’s water-sports school . If eating is your thing, El Poblenou's own "Rambla" is a pedestrianized boulevard stretching from Avenida Diagonal right through to the beach, and is filled with restaurants. Carrer de Marià Aguiló runs parallel to La Rambla del Poblenou, and is the heart of Poblenou's beautiful residential area, a car-free street filled with local businesses, cafes, restaurants and bars.
