Here in this part of 17e arrondissement , i would say it is chic but cool. There lots of nice little bars and restaurants, also some cute boutiques here , the area is very safe , even at night. The atmosphere here is romantic & bobo (bourgeois -Bohême).

The neighborhood Batignolles is a kind of small village in Paris. Take your time to visit the cute shops rue Legendre, visit the small church and the parc des Batignolles, then take the Rue des Dames and pick one of the nice bars to get a drink. You'll then arrive rue Levis a charming pedestrian street where you can bye your groceries.

The Batignolles district, with its village air, is known for its unusual shops and picturesque brasseries, as well as for the English gardens of the Square des Batignolles. The bohemian streets surrounding Place de Clichy are the equivalent of trendy bars. The area near Pont-Cardinet station is part of an eco-district that surrounds Martin Luther King Park. Among the notable museums describe the National Museum Jean-Jacques Henner, which exhibits many portraits of the XIX century.
