Wee Coo Byre

Converted former byre in bucolic surroundings. Located just outside the village of Strachur, it is an ideal stop for anyone walking the Cowal Way and is close to the unexplored mountains of Cowal and the beautiful Loch Eck and Loch Fyne. The little cottage shares a garden with the main house (where I live most of the time) and is set amongst mature trees, rippling burns and abundant wildlife including chirruping birds, red squirrels and pine martens. A lovely place to unwind and relax.

Escape to the aptly named Tigh Na Mara Cottage which in Gaelic means “at the edge of the sea”. This romantic cottage is a place to find your soul and escape the stresses of life. It sits right on the edge of Loch Fyne in the delightful fishing village of Newton. It has recently been fully refurbished and has unrivalled views over gorgeous Loch Fyne. You will be mesmerised by the shimmer of blue water through the windows. It’s also a short drive from the famous Inver Cottage Restaurant.

Maida's cottage is situated on the edge of the village of Ford, close to Loch Ederline. There is a private driveway to the cottage with a farm gate to keep the sheep on the hill. There is ample parking and a gated/fenced private garden. Although on the edge of the village, Maida's cottage feels remote with a rather stunning backdrop. There are many hills to walk. There is no TV or WiFi, this is a cosy getaway from hectic lives so sit back and enjoy the log fire with a good book.

It's one of the many cabins dotted around the woods and loch side here by the friendly village of Dalavich. A Victorian Cabin perched on the banks of Loch Goil. Enjoy a picturesque stay over looking the breath taking Scottish Highlands. The Cabin consists of a walk in wet room with toilet and a very well equipped kitchen. Within the kitchen you will find a fridge, stove, coffee machine, kettle, toaster and crockery. The living Room has a TV and Log Burner - with French Doors out to the decking area. The double bedroom is up on the mezzanine level which you access via a ladder.

The cottage was built around 1890 to house the Ploughman for Goatfield Farm, and has been extensively remodelled to create a unique getaway. It is owned and managed by myself. The lodge is layed out for a couple or solo travellers. Argyll is steeped in history and has miles of coastline, lochs, forests and mountains. The Wee Dram is a small compact cabin. Light and airy located in the beautiful village of Dalavich, on the banks of Loch Awe. The small kitchen is fully equipped with fridge/freezer box, gas cooker microwave kettle toaster along with cutlery crockery pans etc. Double bedroom with ensuite shower. Cosy living dinning room with sofa, dining table, tv & side tables. Small decking area to sit and enjoy a cuppa or a glass of wine.
