Your stay at Ani Villas begins with an airport transfer, and the personalized service continues with chef, butler, laundry and even spa services.
Designed by Reda Amalou and Parisian firm AW2, the villa pairs the classic tropical pavilion layout with more contemporary touches. Vaulted ceilings, wood floors and accents and white upholstery are hallmarks of breezy, beachfront style, but mod furniture and the luxe textures of plush rugs and leather wall coverings elevate the look to sophisticated. Chef service is included, but if you’d like to try local specialties yourself, the villa has a fully equipped kitchen and offers cooking classes.
Each of the eight suite-style bedrooms at Villa Monara has a king bed and en-suite bathroom. There are seven bedroom pavilions on the property: one with two bedrooms and six with one bedroom. Some of the king beds can be converted to twin beds for flexible accommodations and all of the bathrooms have spa-worthy stand-alone bathtubs.
During your stay at Villa Monara, you can go whale watching, surfing, trekking on an animal reserve or hiking through a tea plantation. The villa is right on Dickwella Beach, a 9-minute drive from Dickwella Market and a 14-minute drive from the town of Gandara. At the end of your stay, plan on a 16 km drive to Mawella Lagoon Airport or a 89 km drive to Mattala International Airport.
