The space
Gearon is a beautiful villa nestled on a lofty perch overlooking sweeping vistas of Lorient Bay on the north shore of St. Barts. Located in the hilltop enclave of Petite Saline, the villa is walking distance to Lorient Beach and minutes by car from several other sought-after shores. The design blends rustic naturalism with contemporary elegance and offers ample living space for savoring the Caribbean sun and breeze. Three sea-view bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms and separate entrances accommodate six guests, forming an ideal arrangement for families or small groups of friends desiring serenity, convenience, and style in one of the most enchanting areas of Saint Barthelemy.
Settle into island time on the villa's terrace, sunbathing on elegant loungers and dipping into the infinite pool. In the afternoon, withdraw into the vaulted pavilion for cocktails and games, and gather around the ten-person dining table for alfresco feasts.
Vanishing walls and a central breezeway create a seamless space between the deck and interiors, inhaling the sea-kissed air into the cavernous living room and gourmet kitchen. The décor is understated yet exquisite throughout, with rich wood trim and accents offsetting luminous white finishes on the walls and ceiling beams, and fine artwork that conjures the timeless sprit of the island and sea. Lovely pendant ceiling fans keep you cool on balmy days.
Each of the three bedrooms—one with king bed, two with queens—enjoys a private entrance and features an esnuite bathroom, air conditioning, ceiling fan, safe, dual vanity, and screened windows. The lower-level room enjoys a private balcony, while the upper-level rooms open to the terrace. All of the rooms enjoy spectacular views of the sea.
From Gearon, you can walk about five hundred paces to Lorient Beach, or drive a few minutes by car to the sands of Marigot, Nikki, St. Jean, and Petit Cul de Sac. The Oasis shopping center is nearby, and the village or Lorient offers groceries and a fresh fish market. With Gustaf III Airport less than four kilometers away, Gearon is a convenient choice for easy weekend escapes or destination wedding guests.
