Our cozy chalet sits in the woods on our 9‑acre property, overlooking a small pond and offering a peaceful escape from busy city life. As you drive past our home to the chalet, you arrive at a tucked‑away spot where the cottage and hot tub pavilion are screened by trees and bamboo, creating a private, secluded feel. The Little Lodge is located on a 7 acre gated estate in a wooded bedroom community south of the Village of Folsom. The lodge is on the property beside the main house facing an one acre horse paddock and overlooking a 3 acre pond, dock and gazebo. We are horse friendly. Attractions nearby include; Global Wildlife Center, an Alligator farm, the Bogue Chitto State Park, old town of Covington with antique shops, art galleries, and fine dining. We are only 45 miles from Downtown New Orleans. l

We absolutely love hosting!This space is an apartment built in part of a shop metal building. This was designed by and for our daughter who has since moved and so now using for Airbnb. one queen bed in the loft, one twin XL bed in downstairs bedroom. couch lets out to twin bed but I would only recommend for children….as it is small. To be comfortable, you may want to ask options for more than 3 . Bathroom opens to bedroom. Please note: Shower is small. There is no TV, but great WiFi.

Thunder Ridge —Entire House pet-friendly near NOLA

Thunder Ridge at the Forest Retreat is an adults-only pet-friendly getaway. Children may come only during specific holidays. Your house will be unlocked. Check-in is a 3 p.m. Here you are surrounded by the Homochitto National Forest. Take a picnic to the sand-bars along the pristine spring-fed creek. Hike or mountain bike on the remote forest roads. The Homochitto National Forest is minutes away. Here you can enjoy hiking, biking or bird watching in the quiet while watching wildlife. We also have games & TV/DVD player hookup only. Take a day or afternoon & go looking for arrowheads, fossils & other treasures like gold rocks.
