Pet-friendly holiday rentals in Marco de Canaveses

We truly enjoyed our time relaxing at this scenic and historic place. Right along the river, attached to walking trails in a little park. Plenty of space and all the comforts of home. We spent a cool December evening here cozying up next to the fire and reading about the history of the region. The bridge/entrance dates back to roughly 1660-1740, incredible!

This was a dream vacation - we had just moved to Portugal and spent 2 weeks getting setup. We wanted a quiet week as a family to rest before school started. This place was perfect: perched on a mountainside in the middle of vines, the space was quiet, peaceful and beautifully designed and appointed. Paulo, the husband, is an architect who refurbishes vintage designer furniture. Teyna, the wife, is an amazing chef. Her breakfasts (included) we delicious and the dinners they offer in their adjoining restaurant and well crafted and tasty. Their place is pet friendly - we brought our dog, and they have a dog, two cats and two birds. We did outings to Porto, nearby Roman ruins, historic villages and swam in the rivers running through them. It was delightful.

Dajas Douro Valley was perhaps more beautiful than the photos! It was the perfect place to relax between adventures in Lisbon and Porto. We especially loved spending time by the pool by day and cozying up with a bottle of wine by the fire pit by night. Alexandra and Tatiana were very welcoming. A few tips for future guests: The property is nestled in the hillside which means it is at least 20 minutes from towns/restaurants. We rented a car which was helpful for exploring nearby areas, but be prepared for many narrow, steep and winding roads! We found that Waze gave better directions (less rustic) than Google maps. We also wished we had stopped at a grocery store to stock up on some food for our villa before arriving. I also recommend booking reservations at local wineries as we didn’t have much luck just showing up (midweek at least). My husband and I would absolutely stay here again!

Recepção perfeita da Miquelina e Eduardo. A casa é linda. A chegada gera dúvidas pois a estrada é apertadinha. Mas Miquelina tira todas as duvidas em tempo real! Recomendo demais. É perfeito!

A Quinta da Lameira, foi uma das melhores quintas que encontramos nestes últimos 10 anos. Éramos um grupo de 6 adultos e 4 crianças e a quinta mostrou que tinha todas as potencialidades para uns dias bem passados. A casa é muito funcional, bem equipada e iluminada. A sala e cozinha, em open space, permitiu que todo o grupo estivesse em constante convívio e as crianças tinham espaço para brincar. A cozinha estava equipada com tudo o que precisamos. As 3 suites eram confortáveis e o quarto com beliches foi perfeito para as 4 crianças. Foi a primeira casa em que estivemos que tudo funcionou sem percalços, desde a água quente, aquecimento, o quadro elétrico. A parte exterior é muito agradável, mesmo sendo em dezembro, só não conseguirmos aproveitar a piscina. Mas mesmo assim o S. Pedro ajudou e, principalmente as crianças, conseguiram brincar no escorrega e na casinha de brinquedos. E conseguimos fazer churrasco. Acredito que uma estadia no verão nesta quinta seja incrível.

We stayed at Casa Da Torre for 7 days and loved it. The place is spacious, private, and peaceful, with great views over the Douro River. It is a great base for exploring the Duoro River valley. Marta was friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this place.

Super accueil, José a été très réactif et a été flexible sur les horaires. La maison était très propres avec tout le nécessaire. Je recommande.

Casa muito boa super limpa, com muito espaço a volta ideal para quem quer sossego. Recomendo

Quinta espetacular. Todos os espaços eram cómodos, desde os quartos à sala e cozinha, como também o espaço de lazer fora de casa. Super arrumada, com vistas incríveis para as margens do Rio Douro. Boas áreas de convívio para se disfrutar com a família ou amigos. Anfitrião sempre prestável e em comunicação sobre alguma dúvida de restaurantes nos arredores. Quinta com direito a pão e a bolos fresquinhos logo pela manhã, pois a padeira vai à quinta entregar.

We loved staying at Americo’s house. It was in a stunning location with beautiful views as far as the eye can see of the Douro valley. The house sits in well loved landscaped gardens, with a lovely pool and outside sitting/eating area. There is a bonus area with fruit trees. The house is well furnished, cosy and comfortable. It was plenty of room for two small families. Our hosts were so kind and communicated well throughout the process. We did have problems locating the house, even following the instructions (Apple Maps sent us to the wrong location). But the hosts were patient. It’s a bit of a drive to go to larger sight seeing attractions and very windy for non-confident drivers. But for us it was perfect - we had all we needed in a 20 minute radius and drove to Porto for one day (it’s a 50 minute drive). The house and location is stunning and the hosts welcoming - I would definitely return and recommend to others!

Foi tudo 5*, desde a marcação na qual tiraram todas as dúvidas existentes, até ao check out. O pequeno almoço era muito bem recheado e valeu bem o valor. A simpatia e prestabilidade foram pontos a favor. A casa estava muito bem arranjada e limpa. Surpreendeu nos pela positiva tudo nesta estadia. Foram poucos os dias mas valeram a pena . Haveremos de voltar com toda a certeza. Obrigada por tudo

Nuestra estancia en la casa de Cidalia fue simplemente maravillosa. El entorno es un auténtico paraíso: con una piscina preciosa, una granja encantadora con huerto y ovejas, y unas vistas espectaculares al Duero que se pueden disfrutar desde una zona de merendero muy cuidada. La casa estaba decorada con muchísimo cariño con detalles de Pascua, lo que le dio un toque muy especial y acogedor. Cidalia y su familia fueron anfitriones excepcionales. Por la mañana se acercaron a saludarnos y nos regalaron fruta y huevos frescos, un detalle que nos hizo sentir como en casa!!! Además del vino verde y todo lo necesario para un buen desayuno. La casa en sí es cálida y muy acogedora, nos hicieron sentir como en casa. Sin duda, una experiencia que repetiríamos con los ojos cerrados. ¡Gracias por tanto cuidado, cariño y hospitalidad!

La casa genial y todo de lo que se puede disfrutar , la única pega sería la barbacoa que no tenia bien el tiro y el humo no salía bien.

Vi havde et fantastisk ophold i boligen der ligger højt oppe med en super skøn udsigt. Poolen var opvarmet til 28-29C og var perfekt balanceret med klor. Det er et meget roligt og privat sted hvor vi som familie kunne slappe af i en uge. (lukket have og egen port). Vi blev budt velkommen af Daniel og Alicia og havde løbende kontakt med Daniel igennem ugen - altid nemt at få hjælp til noget og de reagerede hurtigt ved henvendelser.. Der opstod ingen problemer overhovedet i løbet af ugen og alt fungerede perfekt. Kommer vi til Portugal igen en dag, vil dette klart være et perfekt valg igen! Tak Daniel, Alicia og Marie for en fantastisk uge i jeres dejlige hus.

C'est une maison très agréable, située dans un environnement paisible. L'accueil par Gloria était très cordial et les propriétaires Ana et Victor ont été disponibles pour nous indiquer la marche à suivre lors de notre arrivée en soirée. Nous y étions venus il y a 5 ans et nous reviendrons si possible.

Recomendo muito, espaço e atendimento incrível

Hemos pasado 15 dias en la casa y venimos encantados. Los anfitriones son muy atentos y amables y se han portado genial. La casa es muy comoda y está muy bien equipada, no le falta de nada( bueno, una tele un poco mas moderna jeje) la zona es preciosa y hay mucho que visitar. Encima admiten perros y las mias han disfrutado en la finca como locas. Las fotos no hacen honor a la casa .Gracias por todo Muy , muy recomendable.

Heerlijk verblijf gehad! Zeer geschikte locatie voor grote groep vrienden. Tiago is een goede host die heel erg behulpzaam was bij het vinden van restaurants en activiteiten. Absolute aanrader.

We loved our hosts. We loved the boat. Very clean and comfy. We had the host take us up river in a 4 hour tour that was wonderful. We made the mistake of thinking that the boat was docked in a larger town, closer to the wine country with restaurants and things we could walk to from the boat. It was very isolated in a small quiet town. If your looking for that you will love it .

Très belle maison agréable pour passer des vacances calmes avec une vue splendide sur les terres portugaises. La maison est fidèle aux photos et bien équipées. Manuel et sa conjointe sont accueillants et à l'écoute. Je recommande fortement !

Bom espaço para descansar em família ou com os amigos, com uma vista linda sobre o rio Tâmega e o que o circunda! Fácil acesso a trilhos e vários sítios para visitar por perto - 25min. de Penafiel (+/-). Anfitrião muito acessível. 👍🏻👍🏻

Estive nesta casa com uns amigos e foi maravilhoso. A casa é superior ao descrito! A piscina e jacuzzi são fantásticos! Adoramos a privacidade e a calma do local, ideal para umas férias em família ou amigos! A Fernanda foi impecável até nos facilitou a entrada mais cedo para aproveitarmos.
