Nice and cosy stay. The host iz very friendly and well behaved. Bathroom was also very clean also the rooms are. Highly recommended.

The peacefulness of the location was incredible. A symphony of birdsong filled the mornings, sometimes continuing into a delightful afternoon chorus. Breathtaking views of Shillong sprawled out below offered a constant visual refresh. The open spaces were throghly enjoyed by our little one. The fresh air and ample space were a toddler's paradise.

Awesome place - ideal for peace. The hosts are friendly and responsive. the place is away from the city and you could share a taxi for 80 bucks one way per passenger to the city centre. I would want to stay there again. Cheers

It was a pleasant stay. And the location is good, in the lama villa. Only thing is the bigger bathroom isn't an attached one, it's a common one by the side of the hall. Everything else is very good, recommended.

I had the most wonderful experience staying at Cathy’s place! From the moment we arrived, she gave us such a warm and genuine welcome that instantly made us feel at home. Knowing we were new to the area, she even took the time to accompany us to a nearby store to get groceries — such a thoughtful gesture! Cathy truly went above and beyond to make sure all our needs were met. The rooms were spotless, well-maintained, and extremely comfortable. What impressed us most was how she helped us plan our itinerary for the next day. We were short on time, and she suggested the most convenient and worthwhile sightseeing spots, saving us a lot of stress and effort. I genuinely believe Cathy is the best host I’ve ever met on Airbnb. Her kindness, attention to detail, and hospitality made our trip extra special. Without a doubt, I will stay at her place again whenever I’m in Shillong!

I traveled with my parents, husband and kids (4.5 and 3). The moment we entered the place, it felt like home. We were familiar with the locality as we had already lived in the city earlier (my parents for 34 years and me 25 years). We intended to spend a lot of time at the property and just soak in the air of Shillong, and that was possible because the home provided us with enough space and facilities we could ask for. Dad loved the early morning sunlight on the terrace and did his exercises there. Kids loved the space inside and outside and played their hearts out. Kitchen and washing machine made our lives so much easier. Marc's caretaker was available to help us out with whatever we needed. The property is very old (traditional Assam cottage), and hence requires a slightly better maintenance. There are tiny bits all over the place that need some attention, but I suppose that a renovation is already in plan. Thanks for helping me create new memories with my kids!

Oak Cottage was a lovely stay! Clean, cozy, and tucked away in a peaceful spot yet close to the main attractions. The hosts were helpful, and the place felt warm and inviting — perfect for a relaxing getaway in Shillong.

Had a great stay at SF Villa. The location is close to Nongthymmai and hence was convenient for our plans. All the amenities and the place were as per listing and as per photos. Would recommend the place to anyone. James also was very responsive, helpful and open to feedback. Thank you.

Great Stay...

We had a pleasant stay at biswajit's place. Though we book a room for 2person, due to some unavoidably circumstances a friend of mine had to stay with us. When i informed the host about it, he generously upgrade our room for 3 person to stay without any charges. He was kind enough to let us check-in in flexible hours. Overall it was a great experience.

Its a lovely place. The caretakers are very friendly and nice. They cook delicious food and make you feel at home. The owner, Anirban Saha, is extremely helpful and very prompt in responding to queries. Looking forward to the next visit.

The space was clean, well-equipped, and had everything I needed for a comfortable stay. The location was also convenient, making it easy to explore the area. The host was responsive and made check-in smooth. If you're looking for a peaceful and scenic retreat, I highly recommend this place!

Overall great, host was responsive, room was ready on time. Kitchen and bathroom were squeaky clean. Surrounding is great, has all amenities. Only issue was the linen could use a dry clean, some previous guest probably had pets. Some small quality of life changes would make the value proposition better, like Wifi, which I know was not mentioned in the listing, but it’s helpful regardless. One more value add could be a water heater, which is surprisingly cheap in amazon and I believe it’s worth it. Addition of slippers was great by the owner. According to the cost, it is a fine establishment, but the little improvements help get the ratings 5 star or Guest favourite. I own a airbnb myself and we make sure to focus on the little things, the aim for this review was so Akhil could improve his offering, I wouldn’t mind paying more for some quality of life changes and a bit more focus on the linen. This airbnb is a must if you have two guests who want their separate rooms.

We had a wonderful stay at Grace Apartments in Shillong! The location is very accessible, making it easy to get around the city. The host was extremely helpful, sharing great recommendations for local attractions and even assisting with taxi and auto rental options. They also guided us on food delivery through Swiggy and Zomato, which made things super convenient. The apartment was comfortable, and the deal we got for 3 days was excellent. We truly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend it!

It is a fantastic place for stay. Nightview of whole shillong from the Terrace and the resturant is the main point of stay there.
