The place is located about 1 km from the ferry dock at Ågskardet, close to the sea. View from the house, to the fjord and mountains in the area. Good opportunity for mountain hikes, both easy and more demanding. Best suited for 2, or small family. The house is from the 1800s, but renovated and new bathroom with shower in 2017. Formerly a granary, but a residence since 1946, and has retained some of the original character. Equipped for simple cooking, with a studio stove. Refrigerator and freezer. Electric car charging only by appointment in advance. A bedroom, steep staircase up.

Make memories for a lifetime in this unique place. The lake house is located by the ski trail to Bodø where Hurtigruten goes by daily. If you are lucky, you can also experience Cruise ships, King ships and large sailing ships, go by. Sandhornøy has a rich wildlife and just outside the lake house you can experience moose, deer, hares, otters, eagles and grouse. In the summer, Finnvikhaugen is the perfect place to experience the midnight sun and in winter you can experience the aurora borealis. There are great hiking trails and the possibility of a summit tour.

The residence is located in idyllic Storvik, directly at the 1.5 km long Storvikstranden and only 50 meters from the sea. The surroundings are sea, mountains, sandy beach and fishing water. Here you can enjoy an active holiday with mountain hiking, paddling, swimming or biking. If you just want to relax, the large terrace is perfect for sunbathing and barbecuing or just relaxing with a good book. Here you have everything you would need for a comfortable vacation. If the weather is bad you have panoramic views to the natural elements from the inside.

Stay in newly remodeled Community School

Idyllic Storvik is a small village at the end of Nordland coast in the middle of Saltstraumen and Svartisen. The surroundings are oceans, mountains, sandy beach and fishing waters. Here you can stay in the old grend school that we in our family have converted into a modern apartment. There are several marked hiking trails in the area. They range from very light, to more advanced trips for real "mountain goats". If you would rather relax on the beach and enjoy nature in the distance it is fully possible from the 1.5 km long sandy beach.

At Stia you can stay in scenic and tranquil surroundings with views of the fjord and mountains. Here you can enjoy silence under the starry sky and northern lights, or simply have lazy days on the beach "Stia" located just below the cottage. You can also enjoy the hot tub in summer as well as winter. If you want speed and excitement, there are many possibilities: Alpine hiking in Glomfjord, walking on Svartisen, skiing in the Meløy Alps, island hopping along the Helgeland coast and more. Large cabin with lovely views, boat and sauna

We welcome open-air guests to our great cabin in Holmsundfjorden in Gildeskål, 1 hour drive south from Bodø. The cabin is idyllic and undisturbed all the way down by the sea. The cabin has a boathouse with a 14 foot boat with 10 HP outboard motor. The cabin also has a great, private sauna tub all the way down by the water, and an outdoor jacuzzi (this is new from July 2025). Formidable hiking and fishing opportunities await you in Gildeskål, and we are happy to suggest top trips and smaller family trips for you.

Nice cabin (60 m2 + loft) for rent preferably on a weekly basis. The cabin is located close to tourist information in Holand, and only 1 km from the crossing to Svartisen. Bedroom 1: double bed, Bedroom 2: two single beds Loft w/ 3 sleeping places. Bathroom w/ washing machine, shower, toilet. Open living room/kitchen w/ stove, fridge, dining table, sofa group, wireless internet and TV (Canal digital). Terrace with seating area, great view and barbecue. Short distance to great hiking opportunities in the area.

Cabin in Gildeskål

Bring the whole family for cozy up in the main cabin at Cool Cabins, on beautiful Sandhornøy. Here you will find ready-made beds, and everything you would need for a nice stay. There is access to beach on the property, fishing opportunities, as well as plenty of hiking opportunities and excursions nearby. We recommend a trip to Elias Blix cafe, possibly for the perfect trip up Sandhornet (993 meters). And maybe the host can offer you guided tours by bike or boat, at a reasonable price.

The cabin is located about 3 miles from Ørnes and Inndyr which is the nearest center. The nearest food store is 15 km away. Road to the door. The kitchen is well-equipped. Dining area for 6. 1 large bedroom w/double bed, 1 m/ 120 cm bed + 1 m/120 + 90 cm bunk bed. Bathroom w/shower, toilet and wash basin. Bed linen, towels, soap or shampoo are NOT rented.

BOLGA, a remote IDYLL N of the ARCTIC CIRCLE

Bolga is a beautiful island on the Helgeland coast with approx 85 friendly inhabitants, a grocery store and a tavern. Exciting conditions for hiking, climbing, bouldering, kayaking, diving, seakiting, fishing and foraging. The cottage is situated in the south-west corner, 2 km easy walking from the harbour. Daily connection with the mainland by ferry or local boat to/from Ørnes and express boat to/from Bodø/Sandnessjøen. You may observe the amazing Northern Light from September.

Restored and charming seahouse from 1965. Brightly decorated house of 35 m2, with 2 small bedrooms on the loft. Living room has a dining area and a reading area. Wifi 150. Modern kitchen with dishwasher, fridge / freezer, and bathroom with toilet and shower. Outside area with garden furniture and campfire pan. Yacuzzi can be rented for an extra fee on 600,- for a weekend or 800,- by the week.
