Walking Tour in Tijuana with a local guide

There is no better way to know a city than through a walking tour! I was born and raised in Tijuana and I am very proud of it! So walk with me and learn in an entertaining way about the city's history; you will hear about the legend of Tía Juana, the creation of casinos during The Prohibition Era in the U.S., and the importance of the Calibaja region to the world. You will also have the opportunity to discover Avenida Revolución and its secret passages, enjoy delectable artisanal coffee, shop souvenirs in one of the most colourful farmers market (Mercado Hidalgo), and be able to visit the city’s most iconic art museum (CECUT). Tijuana Food & Culture Tour

You can now go ahead and reserve individually!!! Ready to eat, drink, and get cultured TJ style?! In general the itinerary is going to look like this. Meet outside Nelson Hotel near the iconic Tijuana Arch. From there we'll be walking a loop. We will visit my favorite brewery, get the best most unexpected view in TJ, participants younger than 18 yrs old are welcome to have a non-alcoholic drink, then we'll go have the best tacos downtown Tj, some of the best in the whole city, walk around, maybe visit a hip new restaurant for apps (and possibly a craft cocktail), stop in at an artist collective, pop into Caesars for the 'original' salad, swing into a local market with different chiles and Mexican goodies, grab a mezcal or tequila at a historic bar and maybe a Mexican candy for desert : ) I will likely end the tour at the Tijuana History Museum at which point you can decide if you want to explore it on your own. All food, drink, and activity decisions/expenses are up to you so please remember to bring pesos or American dollars. P.S. If you want to do a tour on a day that's "unavailable" just message me and lets see if we can make it work. I can also adjust the tour a bit. XOLOITZCUINTLES or Xolos, the Mexican hairless dogs. These dogs are a genuinely Mexican breed whose history has been reconstructed over the years. They have played an interesting role in Mexico's history and have been venerated since pre-Hispanic times. Back then, it was believed that these beautiful animals were guardians of spirits, guiding the souls of the deceased on the long and difficult journey through Mictlán, the city of the dead. Let yourself be immersed in this wonderful world of Xolos and let's learn more about this Cultural Heritage and Symbol of Mexico City.
