The Red House on Cross Lake

This is a Cross Lake cabin that we renovated from an old catfish restaurant built in the early 1930's. We call it the RED HOUSE. There are three cabins on the property that we also use for visiting family and friends. We live on the property behind the houses and we all use the property and pier. Guest also have use of the pier/boat house. The house is at the end of the road on the lake. Although family also uses the property the cabin is quiet and private with a great view of the open lake.

About 45 minutes from Shreveport/Bossier City, our lake house is located on a quiet curve of Lake Bistineau, known for its Spanish Moss-draped cypress trees and lovely sunsets. Please check out our adjoining property, Shades of Blue! Please note the lake drawdown to control the salvinia weed has finished and the water is rising and should be at full pull by the end of January 2025, ready for fishing and kayaking! Great spot for fishing and hunting. It's located by Lake Bistineau , 1 mile from a public boat launch. Not far from the Loggy Bayou wildlife management preserve. House does have a 30-amp Rv hookup for additional space., with no septic.
