Gum Tree Studio - The perfect country retreat!

With amazing views and the Taste Tasman cycle trail at the end of the road this is the perfect retreat to get away from it all. We're lucky to be surrounded by farmland, countryside, mountains, sea, National Parks, fresh air and birdsong. Just a short 10 minute drive from the popular village of Mapua and 10 minutes from Motueka this artistic, modern, roomy and stylish studio is a perfect getaway. The Studio is located at the rear of our home property, down a private drive, with ample parking.

The Gardener’s Greenhouse is a peaceful studio on 2 hectares of land overlooking a garden, wetlands and cycle trail beyond. It is on a lifestyle block in a semi-rural subdivision, half way between Motueka and Mapua, with Kaiteriteri, Abel Tasman National Park and Nelson, not much further away. You will need a car to get around. Beachfront -Stunning views!

Tidy and peaceful apartment on the beachfront in Motueka. There is a beautiful beach trail conveniently located in front of the property. A short stroll to a children’s playground and the Motueka Saltwater Baths. A few minutes further down the trail you reach the Motueka wharf and Coastal Cafe, an excellent Coffee stop. There is also a beautiful reserve across the road from the apartment which has a wonderful trail weaving amongst the native trees where you will also see lots of native birds.

Our snug studiois a perfect spot to unwind and recharge. Overlooking our expansive backyard and onto Mt Campbell, wake up to birdsong. Very handy to town with it's cafes & restaurants. Part of the Great Taste Trail (local food, wine & craft beers) and en-route to the Abel Tasman & Kahurangi National Parks, there are golden sand beaches, all just minutes away. Stay & rest or use this as a base for the region's activities. In our backyard and close to our home.

Tranquility at its best, the studio sits next to our cottage with a fence providing privacy and faces a peaceful reserve leading down to the beach , swimming is optional depending on the tides. Spectator views of Tasman Bay and walking distance to the saltwater baths, the mariner coffee cart and Toad hall which won NZ cafe of the year 2024 .A five-minute drive to the Motueka township and a 20-minute drive to The beginning of The Abel Tasman National Park.

Quiet and cosy Motueka

The master bedroom and en-suite in my home is set up as a private Airbnb room. It has its own car parking area, entrance door, and kitchenette. I live in the rest of the house. So its like staying in your own motel room but without that usual bland and touristy motel feeling.
