We recently stayed at Waterfall House at Walkersons Estate in Dullstroom, and it was an unforgettable experience. The accommodation was luxurious, spacious, and beautifully decorated, offering stunning views of the surrounding countryside. The peaceful setting of the house and estate provided the perfect escape from everyday life. The owners of the house as well as Sylvia, the housekeeper, were incredibly friendly and helpful and ensured our stayed was as untroubled as possible. The estate also offers amenities such as bicycle rentals, hiking, horse riding and even a very relaxing spa. Overall, Waterfall House is a true gem, offering both comfort and relaxation. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a serene getaway!

We had such a lovely, peaceful holiday on this farm. The surroundings are beautiful. It was relatively easy to get to. The house itself is lovely, and spacious. Juanita was easy to communicate with and always answered our messages. I would highly recommend this as a destination of some peace and quiet is what you’re after. There are cows and sheep grazing all around, and various buck and monkeys often peeking into the garden. There are many places to walk, and as a dog lover I was able to walk my dogs happily on lead all over the farm. We will definitely be back.

Great to be on the farm with all the animal’s and farm activities. We did lots of lovely walks on the farm. There were unique things to explore in Heidelberg, and we enjoyed a hike and game drive in the nearby Suikerbosrant Nature Reserve.

Angela is a wonderful host. She gave us clear instructions and the place is a heaven. View from the hackle lodge is amazing. The place is very clean, spacious and calm. She has provided almost all kitchen appliances and cutleries. Easy to entertain kids with the activities in the estate.

Although my stay was short, I absolutely adored this place – a true hidden gem! Jack was super accommodating, making the whole experience even better. Whether you’re just stopping by for a night or staying a bit longer, this is the perfect spot to lay your head. Plus, the doggos and kitty are equally as welcoming!

We have just come back from spending nine unforgettable nights at Penzhorn Rest Cottage and it exceeded all of our expectations - even better than the photos! Zonja, our host, welcomed us warmly on arrival and was so accommodating to make sure we were happy throughout our stay. Her hospitality has honestly blown us away! The highlight of our stay was the daily sight and sound of the river with nightly hippo visitors which added such a magical touch to our stay, immersing us in the beauty and awe of the African bush. Whether enjoying a coffee while reading by the river or relaxing in the ‘bosbad’ every moment felt really special to us! Zonja’s meticulous eye for detail was evident in the small touches around the cottage which made us feel right at home. This is a haven for nature lovers seeking a luxurious yet authentic escape. If you decide to book this listing you won’t be disappointed! We left feeling rejuvenated and are already looking forward to returning!

Antoinette place was lovely, beautiful suite and surroundings. Everything was as advertised, everything was working the way it’s supposed to and had all the amenities you could need at the tip of your fingers. Would definitely consider making another booking when we find ourselves in Pretoria.

We had a lovely stay at the cottage. It was very clean, had everything we needed, and was just beautiful. It is very easy to walk to the nearest restaurants and hikes in town. Overall we had a great stay.

We had a wonderful long weekend at Sunbird Cottage which is very homely in a stunning setting. The farm offered us plenty of opportunity to explore the Wakkerstroom area, and we even enjoyed two walks on the farm itself. The farm fresh milk, eggs and jam were a treat and absolute spoil!

An excellent stay in a beautiful serene place. Everything including the food was on point. Would really recommend this place to anyone visiting Kruger.

Although the cottage lacks the usual mod-cons, such as wi-fi and showers, it was comfortable and made an ideal base for walking. (We did like soaking in the bath). We enjoyed our rest—reading, puzzling and walking in the beautiful hills and along the valley. There were a lot of flies - bring insect repellent - and the fact that it rained most of the time made the thatch musty. We want to return in the winter for another rest...

An Unforgettable Stay at Elandsvlei! We had an absolutely incredible stay at Elandsvlei! The entire weekend was peaceful and rejuvenating. We explored every waterfall we could find, enjoyed picnics all over the farm, and took long, scenic walks. The offroading opportunities were fantastic and added a real sense of adventure to our trip. One of the true highlights was stargazing in the boma by a cozy fire — an experience we’ll never forget. The sunrises streaming through our windows each morning were simply breathtaking. The house we stayed in was perfect — it had everything we needed and more, making our stay extremely comfortable. From the moment we arrived, the service was outstanding. We were warmly welcomed at the gate and personally escorted to our accommodation. Elandsvlei truly exceeded all our expectations, and we can't wait to return!
