This is a calm castle town where people still live. Feel the atmosphere and forget your busy daily life in a spacious, quiet old house. This is the location of the movie "The Father of the Galactic Railroad", which will be released in May 2023. The Manzokuten shop is also featured in the movie. The scene of the used bookstore in "Yakusho Koji-san" was filmed at this inn. You can walk or drive to the Iwamura Castle site. Please come and see what kind of battles took place here. There aren't as many tourists as other tourist destinations, so you can enjoy the life of the castle town to yourself. Iwamura fans keep coming. After 4 pm, you'll be surprised by the quiet. Walking along the main street at night, you will see a row of lanterns, which is very magical. On the summer solstice, the sunset falls straight down the street and you can see a very beautiful view. (It depends on the weather, but it is about a week around the middle of June every year, around 6:30 pm) We also operate retro kimono rentals and dressing in this building. If you want to wear a kimono, please make a reservation. Guests staying at the property will receive a discounted rate. There is also a backyard and a warehouse at the back of the building, and you may feel like a ninja (^ - ^)

Nagano Kisoji | A luxurious house carefully renovated with the tastes and culture of 1931

We basically accept reservations for 2 nights or more because we want you to stay in a historic town in the mountains for a while. Located in the town next to Narai-juku, a post town on the Nakasendo Road, it is a historic town that has prospered as a producer of Kiso lacquerware since the Edo period. It was built in 1931 in a town that has been selected as an Important Preservation District for Groups of Historic Buildings and still has lacquerware shops. Limited to one group per day without meals, the entire building is available for rent. I think the charm of Hirasawa is the beauty and richness of everyday life. I would be happy if you could stay in this old town as if you were living here, reading, taking a walk, drinking local sake (sake and wine), sleeping and waking up slowly. We also post about our daily life on social media, so please take a look. There is no screen door in the old house in the valley of the mountain, so in the warm season, natural creatures may come in. The building from 1993 is not polished to the last detail. We are preparing to welcome you as cleanly as possible, but we would appreciate it if you could come with an open mind.

In winter, heating is provided by a wood-burning stove and solar thermal energy. How about reading in a hammock? On the premises, there is an office belonging to the construction company, as well as a restaurant run by the company, where you can have lunch. There is also a desk workspace, so you can use it for business trips, remote work, etc.Enjoy working in a natural setting. This is a small, renovated, 100-year-old earthen storehouse in a town in Ina Valley, Nagano Prefecture, where you can see the two Alps. The inn is run by a married couple who run a design office. It is a space where we designed it ourselves, created the parts we could with our own hands, and explored the possibilities of renovating the warehouse while cultivating the power to create our own lives. This is an old house built 221 years ago, located in the center of Tsumago-juku. The 20-tatami living room has a sunken hearth (currently unavailable) and you can enjoy the old Japanese private house. There are 3 bedrooms, so you can stay with a large number of people, such as family and friends. No meals are provided. You are welcome to use the full kitchen freely. There is a backyard at the end of the dirt floor that continues from the entrance, and you can walk around freely. Equipped with WiFi and an automatic lifting table, teleworking is also possible for long-term stays. Please have a relaxing time in this quiet old house. We look forward to seeing you ！
