The cottage is a timber cottage originating from Dalarna, located in a forest with several swimming-friendly lakes with sandy beaches only 7 and 10 minutes away by car. Child-friendly, quiet and private, trampoline on the grounds and great opportunities for both nature experiences, recreation in solitude if you want or training.

The cold winter has caused the water in the cabin to freeze. Ask questions before booking! Accommodation closer to the water is difficult to find. Taking the boat or in winter time going out to Holmen outside to grill and watch the sunset is an extra plus. Please also refer to my guidebook that is in my profile. The internet works well with mobile broadband via Telia and others. Winter info: Romme Alpin and Kungsberget are slalom slopes 65 km away. Ryllshyttebacken is a nice family hill 12 km away. 2-4 kicks are available to borrow.

Currently, there is only access to the lake in winter.

Gammelgården is located in a nice village called Övermyra/Österberg, 2 km east of Storvik. Distance to nearby towns is Sandviken 13 km, Kungsberget 18 km, Gävle 36 km. Bus stop, 4-minute walk. The timber house is in Ottsjö Jämtland and was saved from being torn down when it was moved here. The interior design is unique with Swedish historical furniture and objects. Nice berries and mushroom places nearby. There is a small forest lake 30 minutes walk from the cottage.
