Fully furnished insulated yurt for the solo traveler to rest and rejuvenate. Full size bed, high speed internet and mini- kitchen. Property is a retreat center landscaped with gardens, flower beds and shaded decks. Nestled in the trees bordering national forest. Great hiking and biking trails outside our door. 10 minutes to Taos ski valley. 20 minutes to Taos plaza. Must be comfortable heating with wood stove, off grid water system, and sharing a bath house. AWD/4WD may be necessary if it snows.

The Yurt is an extraordinary refuge from the frenzy of the city. Securely set high (7600ft) among mountains, the views stretch out in all directions backing up to the Cibola National Forest. Elk, deer, coyotes, and many birds share their land with us. The dark night sky is breathtaking. The yurt is off-the-grid lit by soft oil lamps after sunset. We also laid a seven-circuit labyrinth for meditative walking. A hot tub is available up at the house. You are welcome to this place of peace.

Little John Hike-in 16-foot Camping Yurt

PLEASE read all information about the yurt before booking. Enchanted Forest offers stunning vistas along meandering forest trails for hiking and mountain biking. It is a 1.25-mile hike (or bike) to the Little John Yurt (no driving). This is (upscale) CAMPING, not a hotel room. A wood stove provides heat, there is no electricity, running water, or room/maid service. Because of COVID-19, we provide fitted sheets, pillows and pillowcases. Bring a sleeping bag or comforter for cold temperatures.

Wonderful 16 ft Yurt with spectacular views.

Set 12 minutes from the plaza on 1.5 acres in the piñon and juniper trees, close to trails and Ponce de Leon hot springs, The yurt has open views to Taos Mountain and the surrounding hills. Peaceful and beautiful setting, gas fire pit can be used by guests. There is a Porta potty, a two burner camping stove, electric Kettle, water, dishes, towels, small bistro table and two chairs. The yurt has no running water. The yurt can be hot during the mid-day in the summer. Sorry no pets allowed!
