Holiday rentals with beach access in New Plymouth District

I had a long stay at oakura heaven for a placement at the hospital in new Plymouth. It was a relaxing and comfortable place to stay for 6 weeks. I loved oakura and especially the walk through matekai park to the beach. As a surfer it was ideal as you’re a short drive to a lot of the major spots in Taranaki. Kathy and Glenis were also very helpful and made my stay effortless. I would defo recommend it.

Great location, handy to the local cafe's, pub and 4 Square for food shopping, only 5 minutes walk to the beautiful Oakura beach, we particularly like the secure backyard since we had our 2 dogs, we were able to relax knowing they couldn't get out. Thank you Kate, Paul and Sally (their dog🐶😊) for a relaxing stay.

After our intimate wedding ceremony in New Plymouth, with our adult children and their partners, we shared the weekend at the Oakura accommodation. It was a wonderful wedding venue and offered us everything we needed. Rosanna kindly allowed us an earlier check-in on our wedding day, which we greatly appreciated. Thank you Rosanna and Richard.

Had a wonderful weeks stay, the location is amazing and right at Fitzroy beach and the place has everything you need, is very homely comfortable and relaxing. Great to have the washing machine to be able to use. Highly recommend to stay here.

Quiet, private, beautifully clean, and new with every comfort we could want. Lots of nice little extras like a lovely garden area with outdoor furniture to dine at, face flannels, coffee sachets etc. We accidentally left a charger behind and Karen promptly sent it back to us. So kind and great communication. Highly recommend.

Charming, functional and quiet! I love the view, the kitchen was well stocked, just a 10 minute drive into New Plymouth for the museum and the Coast Walk. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

David and Sonia were very friendly and made us welcome when we arrived. Perfect hosts. The accommodation was spotless, private and nice and roomy. We only stayed one night unfortunately, but would love to go back again.

A sunny and centrally located place to rest and relax. Well taken care of and clean. It was clear there was attention to detail, with beach towels and extra blankets in the cupboard. I particularly liked the little framed sketches on the walls. Great shower too! Thank you for helping to make our stay a pleasant one.

We had the most incredible stay at Mini’s beautiful beachside house. The location was absolutely stunning, with a walk way leading directly to the most secluded and private beach, we had it all to ourselves! The view from the lounge was breathtaking, and we truly didn’t want to leave. Mini was an exceptional host, responsive, helpful, and incredibly accommodating. She even rearranged planned maintenance to allow us to stay when we were struggling to find accommodation for our group. Her kindness and hospitality made our experience even more special. If you’re looking for a relaxing escape with all the comforts of home, this is the perfect place. We can’t wait to come back! Highly recommend.

We had a great stay at Joanne's house in Oakura. The location was fantastic - private and peaceful, yet only a short drive to New Plymouth. The house itself was very spacious, easily accommodating our two families. The pool and games room were a huge hit and provided plenty of entertainment for everyone. Joanne the host responded promptly to any questions we had and had great communication. We would definitely recommend this property for large groups or families looking for a comfortable, fun, and conveniently located getaway.

Special little batch where our whanau felt welcome and had such a lovely week attending Matatini and able to escape a recharge at this wonderful batch. Denise and husband were welcoming and so very friendly. Grantee a great peaceful place with family. Nga Mihi!

Gayle's place is in a fantastic location, nice little beach for the kids to play. Overlooks the ocean. Well thought out for amenities including games, puzzles, even a bucket of lego for kids. Good bedrooms and lounge area with everything you could need. No hesitation to stay here again if passing through, very peaceful and relaxing and Bell Block has a handful of shops including The Warehouse and a small supermarket, restaurants and cafes.

We had a great stay at Jane's beach house! Walking distance to the beach which was great. Had some toys and pretty much everything we needed for a family holiday stay. Jane was contactable via the app and answered questions promptly. Thanks!

Lovely place to stay, located handy to New Plymouth centre and boardwalk. Easy drive to Pukekura Park and out to surrounding Taranaki area.

The house is excellent and the location is great, very short walk to a beautiful black sand beach. The bed was very comfortable and the house amenities were top notch. We'd definitely stay again.
