Hogsback Samadhi Cottage self-catering

Samadhi is nestled in the heart of the magical and mystical Amatola Mountains, in the village of Hogsback Eastern Cape. Samadhi Cottage is perfect for couples on a romantic weekend getaway, or a "get back to nature antidote" from the city. The cottage is a 5 minute drive (15 minute walk) from the shops and restaurants. There is a double bed downstairs in the living room and upstairs three single beds suitable for older children or young adults that can climb steep, narrow stairs.

Watch the full moon rise over the Hogsback mountains, enjoy dazzling sunsets or a large bonfire under the stars. It is a perfect place for couples seeking a relaxing and romantic weekend, a family or friendship getaway or a place to work (wifi reception is good and there is a large worktable).

Trengwainton House

'Trengwainton' combines rustic, old world charm with modern comforts and an exquisitely beautiful setting in mystical Hogsback. Wander through the gardens, pick vegetables in the organic vegetable garden, relax on the wide stoep or snuggle up next to the roaring fireplace. We are close to exciting outdoor activities - walking trails, mountain bike routes and the most beautiful views. Our place is good for couples, solo adventurers, families (with kids), and big groups.

The Cabin

Suitable for a single person or a couple. It is equipped for self-catering, and consists of one open-plan room with a double bed, a kitchenette and an en-suite bathroom with shower. There is a heater, not a fire-place. The cabin has a wooden deck and is in a peaceful and pretty garden setting. It is a few meters away from The Bluff walk, a 3km circular path with lovely views. The Edge restaurant is less than a 5 minute walk from the cabin.

The property is located on a major road and is fully fenced with an electrically operated gate. It is within a walking distance to The Edge, The Eco Shrine and to several beautiful walks. The property is entirely independent from Eskom power supply.
