If you like nature, swimming in a lake, plunging into a waterfall and starry nights, you will like this place as much as we did! You need to be okay with camping lifestyle, as the small house is simply equipped, including an outhouse and camping gas stove. The kitchen could be a little bit better equipped. All in all a good short stay in beautiful nature.

Seeing is believing. The pictures are true. But to your own eyes it's breathtaking. What a lovely unit we had. All set for self catering, the bed was so comfortable, the unit was clean, spacious and so comfortable. The shop they have at the back walking distance with fish, ice, wood and a few other items, loved it. Thank you so much again for an amazing time. We will be back to visit this Gem of a place again

Leasa was a fantastic host, very responsive, helpful and friendly. She kindly let us stay late on our check out day which was a huge bonus. The house is a comfortable and creative family home. amazing sea views from the balcony and a ladder to the roof where you can see the whole bay to check the surf. The house is as described and a perfect place for a family or a group of friends with big open plan living areas. We had a fantastic time and plan to return again.

I'd love to keep this place secret but the least I could do is leave a 5 star review. It's a relaxing machine. 2nd time I've stayed there. Will book again soon.

We had a fantastic stay! The house, garden and pool were all wonderful. My only suggestion would be to bring everything you need with you, as it’s a very small town with limited options. Overall, a great spot for a peaceful getaway.

Lemoenhuis is a peaceful escape in the heart of Calvinia, and Liz and her husband go above and beyond to make guests feel welcome. Their warm and genuine hospitality made the stay feel relaxed and comfortable. The cottage is spacious and well-equipped, with everything needed for a pleasant stay. The generous room sizes and well-equiped kitchen made it easy to settle in and enjoy the space. The highlight was sitting on the porch, overlooking the quiet, expansive landscape with the Hantam Mountains in the distance. The peaceful surroundings made it the perfect spot to relax and reflect, whether in the early morning or as the sun set. The two friendly Dobermans added a charming touch to the stay. They were playful but well-behaved, providing just the right amount of companionship without being overbearing. For anyone seeking a quiet getaway with breathtaking views and kind hosts, Lemoenhuis is a fantastic choice. It’s a place that leaves you feeling rejuvenated.
