'A day like a gift' is an experience-type accommodation located in the forest at the top of Domaryeong (700m above sea level) in Minjujisan, Yeongdong-gun, Chungcheongbuk-do. We have remodeled a wooden house (Dalbat House, 2005) and a family-built earthen house (So Young Hall, 2006) for our elderly parents, so that only one team of guests can stay in the entire house. Recently, a tree house (Wol Forest House, 2024) was built on a 6-7 meter-high Japanese cedar tree in the Wol Forest, and this can also be experienced for free. The experience is divided into traditional cultural experiences and ecological experiences, which are offered in a variety of paid and free experiences. The mud house was built with wood, earth, and stone from the moon field, like the mountain village of our ancestors. You can experience lighting a fire in a traditional house, where you can feel the wisdom of a house that is cool and warm. In the summer of 2017, the owner spent his vacation nearby, and this house was prepared to live in the countryside, being fascinated by the surrounding mountains, fresh air, and peaceful scenery. It is the highest house in the neighborhood, with excellent scenery and lots of pine trees around, so the air is very good. There is a garden of 400 pyeong in front of the house, so garden vegetables such as jujube, blueberry, potato, and pepper are growing well. Guests can pick up what they want to eat. The interior is based on white color, which is simple but clean concept. On the second floor, there is a small karaoke room, a book library, a piano, and a computer. There is a small pond behind the house, and in the summer, there is a stream within walking distance. There is a terrace and a bench where you can grill meat. I recommend it as a place where family, co-workers, and friends can quietly make good memories together.
