Bring the whole family to this great place with plenty of room for everyone. The house is located about 3 km away from the center of Mesnali. Sjusjøen with unique cross-country ski trails and Sjusjøen Alpinbakke are only minutes away by car. There is a short way to Lillehammer and Hunderfossen. Hafjell is about 30 minutes by car. There is a beach about 3.5 km away. The house is idyllically located with a great view of Nordmesna. The outdoor area consists of two lawns with different seating zones, a large terrace with gas grill as well as a covered outdoor living room in summer.

Great location with cross-country ski trails in the immediate vicinity in all directions. Good sun conditions and scenic surroundings, with beautiful hiking terrain all year round. Two bedrooms with 180 cm beds. Spacious bathroom with shower and incineration toilet. Practical solution with water tank and water heater and pump with direct water supply to shower and sink in the bathroom, as well as sink in the kitchen.

To Sjusjøen cross-country skiing 8 km drive, to Hafjell/Hunderfossen Adventure Park 30 min, and Sjusjøen alpine for families only 10 min. Lillehammer city center 15 mins. Evening and Sunday open grocery store Mesnali 3 min. Bed linen and towels can be rented and must be pre-booked - price NOK 250/£20/€25 per set. Feel free to bring your own. We offer sleigh rides and ski instruction on cross-country skiing in the winter, please contact us if you are interested.

A great starting point for skiing & mountain trails

This cabin is a great starting point for hiking in the mountains. It is located 900 meters above sea level. Walk straight out into mountain trails or unique ski slopes. Or just relax on the terrace or in front of the fireplace. It is 250 meters until you are on mountain trails, and 100 meters to the ski slope. The store is 1.8 km away in summer and 3.4 km in winter. The cabin has fantastic views and sun all day with a magnificent sunset. There is also a private ski storage for those who want to wax skis. There are 8 beds and a baby bed.

The cabin is located about 10 minutes from Norway's largest ski destination, Sjusjøen, where there are miles of ski slopes and alpine facilities. Lillehammer city center is about 15 min drive, if you want to visit Jorekstad Fritidsbad, Hafjell alpine facilities, Hunderfossen or Lilleputthammer it is about 30 min drive there.

The old summer barn of Hovelsrud Gård is idyllically located between Mjøsa and a rolling cornfield – a simple and unique place for those who want to get close to nature and enjoy the tranquillity of Helgøya. The house is best suited for a couple or a small family with up to two children. Inside, there is a bedroom and an open-plan living room. Outside there is a kitchen counter, with a gas burner and barbecue, a small beach with swimming opportunities and an outdoor toilet. There is no electricity.

The cottage has a relaxed atmosphere and is tastefully decorated with all the necessary facilities for a comfortable stay, including a fully equipped kitchen, cozy fireplace and spacious bedrooms.
