Holiday rentals with a fire pit in Northeast India

If there ever was a paradise lost, never fret because you'll find it again here. A home away from home nestled amidst pristine pine and fern canopy hugged by the mountains - Rabten and his warm family made every bit of our stay in kalimpong a moment to cherish. We were properly spoiled with cooked food (sumptuous), spacious beds and copious rooms, a view to behold, misty mountain weather that transported us to a fantasy novel, a brilliant hall room to congregate and singalong. Rabten personally ensured we had all the right contacts and logistics sorted out for our sight seeing and transport. Rabten's mum was extremely generous to us, and kind. His crew were engaging and always available to help and assist. I would strongly recommend the homestay, and we definitely made friends here whom we want to visit again, soon!

1729 Digboi is a fantastic getaway. The cleanliness is off the charts. The host is very very helpful and responsive. The property in itself is very new, but the maintenance and thought applied to the aesthetics and the amenities, and how well everything is put together is just mindblowing. I deeply respect the amount of care that must have gone into putting this place up as a guest-friendly AirBnB. We loved every minute of it. I travelled with my husband and my two kids (aged 6 yrs and 3 yrs). We stayed for about 3 nights. Ishan did everything in his capacity to make sure we were comfortable and made every single of those days count! It was a very nice stay. In case you order in food, giving directions to the delivery folks is a little hassle given that you don't know the place much yourself - so make sure you know how to direct the delivery folks. There are few veg food options in Digboi, so you might want to carry some ready to makes with you, as the kitchen here is great! :)

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful Airbnb. The rooms are spacious and well-decorated, with a lovely aesthetic and pretty furniture that made our stay feel extra special. The common balcony was very wide and had sitting arrangements. The living area was perfect for relaxing very cozy and thoughtfully designed. The amenities provided were excellent, including a geysers, induction stove, tea leaves, milk, coffee, and a TV, which made our stay very comfortable. Our host was incredibly cooperative, polite, and friendly. She truly made us feel at home and we all enjoyed her company. The food was simply delicious – all organic home-cooked and prepared exactly how we wanted. It was clear that she took great care in cooking for us. She also arranged a car for our trip, which was really convenient and much appreciated. We are truly thankful for such a pleasant stay and would love to return here in the future.

Its a lovely place. The caretakers are very friendly and nice. They cook delicious food and make you feel at home. The owner, Anirban Saha, is extremely helpful and very prompt in responding to queries. Looking forward to the next visit.

Ammo is one of the warmest hosts we've met! We had a great time with Ammo taking us to local spots for local snacks/delicacies, and preparing an absolutely delicious home cooked meal over the bonfire. A lovely welcome evening. Thank you Ammo for a wonderful stay and your gracious hospitality!

Fantastic stay. The bungalow is very well decorated. The yard around the bungalow is massive, like a green ocean. The staff at the farmhouse are also very helpful. The host is very cooperative and always available for communication.

A special thanks for the lovely anniversary decoration - it was done on such short notice and truly made the occasion memorable. I absolutely loved it and would highly recommend this place! The place is actually a little hotel, which we loved because we were pampered with breakfasts, lunch and dinners. Bhutan is a real live fairy tale in many aspects. People are superfriendly and everybody seems happy and joyful. This also applies for staff of the hotel/restaurant Mrs. Jamuna and Mrs. Didi (excellent cook). They also took care of our transport needs from/to the airport and sightseeing tours. The room was very clean. Big plus were the heater and the balcony. Fully recommended!! Go there and you will be happy 😃😃

The peacefulness of the location was incredible. A symphony of birdsong filled the mornings, sometimes continuing into a delightful afternoon chorus. Breathtaking views of Shillong sprawled out below offered a constant visual refresh. The open spaces were throghly enjoyed by our little one. The fresh air and ample space were a toddler's paradise.

We had a wonderful 4-day stay at Payong House in Gangtok during our family vacation. The homestay was extremely comfortable, clean, and truly family- and kid-friendly. The food served was tasty and homely, which made us feel well taken care of. The location was also very convenient for exploring Gangtok. The hosts were warm and welcoming, making our stay even more enjoyable. Highly recommended for families visiting Gangtok!

I visited with my family. I also had my 2 months old baby with us. It was very convenient for us as they had all the necessary facilities. The caretaker Rituraj was very helpful and was available in just one call. We are also very thankful to the owner as he is very responsive. We had a pleasant stay.

Dechen and her team are wonderful people. They were friendly, helpful and helped us check in easily and comfortably. The apartment is lovely, and had everything we needed, in a very peaceful area. We are glad we stayed with Dechen.

This is definitely a hidden oasis in Tura 😊 Initially I booked this homestay for 3 nights, but was too happy with it that I extended up to a week. The sounds of river flow and chirping birds were very soothing. Brendan and the boys (Arminio especially!) were very nice and friendly, thanks a lot for your hospitality! I took some special memories with me and I hope to come back next time when it’s lush green 🌳

The caretakers were extremely kind and helpful, making sure we were comfortable throughout our stay. One of the highlights was the delicious barbeque they arranged for us—it was absolutely tasty and well-prepared! The neighborhood was peaceful and the local people were friendly and welcoming. Three days went like a dream! The best host in the cabin was definitely Leo, the dog. It seemed like we were his family. The cabin is just like a beautiful painting, and so do the surrounding pine forest and the hills. It’s cozy, comfortable, soul healing. The evenings we spent sitting near the fireplace will remain in our fond memories forever. Will definitely try to visit the cabin again and again in the coming years. Beautiful place, just as described and shown in the photos. Very close to Kaziranga Eastern Zone. The hosts Gourang and his brother are amazing people with really helpful staff, from the point we checked in they really took good care of us, prepared special customised food - dinner and breakfast options. Gourang gave really good local recommendation and the stay was very comfortable too, with all amenities, easily accessible, would definitely recommend.

What can I say about our stay other than AMAZING. If you are looking for peace and tranquility this is the place perfect place for you. The BNB is located on th slope and is a bit of a trek while entering. Amazing ambience specially the bathroom. Definitely need to mention our friendly host and his cute family. His food was delicious and he was very friendly. Special mention is his cute little daughter who acted as our guide and never let us feel bored. if you are looking for a place to relax and wind down.. this is perfect
