The house consists of two bedrooms, a living room with a sofa and dining table room for 6 people, a well-equipped kitchen, a simple bathroom with a washing machine, and a separate toilet. The kitchen, living room, and bedrooms all have a wood-burning fireplace. Guests have their own private terrace with a lovely view of the Grovstjønn Lake. You also have access to the Eldhus which is a small building that dates back to 1780. You can park the car right outside the farmhouse. There is no TV or WiFi but excellent mobile network coverage.

Lower your shoulders and enjoy days in beautiful natural surroundings. Spacious family cabin at Gavlesjå. A hidden gem just 30 minutes by car from Notodden. The cabin is of a good standard. A solar panel provides the power you need. Water is collected from a well 500 metres from the cabin. The shower is connected to an electric pump. You have to heat water in advance to take a hot shower. Call the cabin. Heating can be turned on in advance in winter. Remember to bring your own bed linen and towel.

The Stable, 1700s log cabin by the lake with sauna

A small log cabin on a historic crofter's farm by Follsjø – a lake for swimming and fishing. The Stable sits slightly tucked away from the four other timber buildings on the property, surrounded by a wildflower meadow and grazing sheep. A newly renovated bathroom with shower and toilet is in the barn, just 15 metres away. Outside, a lovely seating area with a grill awaits. The area is made for hiking, fishing, swimming and quiet days. Canoes at your own risk; wood-fired sauna available to rent.
