Gadestatt is a traditional Maiensäss. A Maiensäss is a cultural peculiarity of Swiss history. These simple but beautiful wooden buildings used to be inhabited on the Alps during the summer. From here the cows were guarded and cheese was made from fresh milk. Gadestatt offers you an authentic overnight accommodation with lots of charm and attention to detail. The location has everything that distinguishes Switzerland. Simply pure nature with a lot of love for detail. You're guaranteed to remember a stay.

Our house is located on the edge of the village center. A large old birch is the landmark in our garden. The stately wooden house was built 140 years ago in the Biedermeier style and has changed little in all these years. It still reflects a forward-looking and cosmopolitan generation. In this sense, we welcome guests from near and far.

Yurt with fantastic views

The yurt is located in the most beautiful panoramic position above Lake Lucerne. It is comfortably and cozily furnished. The newly renovated bathroom is located in the annex a few steps away from the yurt and is available exclusively to our guests. We spoil our guests with a rich farmer's breakfast.
