[120-year-old private house] Iwasaki, with its vegetation, is located along the Minase River and was a key transportation point during the era of river boat transportation.During the Meiji era, there were four breweries, and the sake produced was so fine that it was dedicated to the emperor. This building is a renovated Takahashi family residence that was used by the owner of one of the breweries, Mineno Asahi Brewery.

We have renovated two "Uriso" buildings, unique to southern Akita Prefecture, one of Japan's leading heavy snow areas, connecting the main house and the storehouse with a large roof so that you can come and go even during the winter snowfall. This room features a special display of "indigo dyed yukata", a unisex dance costume made by hand using traditional dyeing techniques from southern Akita prefecture. On the first floor, there is a dining room with a mini-kitchen and a bathroom, and on the second floor, overlooking the dynamic beams, there is an indigo-dyed yukata and a record player, so you can experience the history that has been carved with Bon Odori.

The rare "Kame no O" rice is grown naturally in beautiful rice fields with the highest quality water, and after being harvested, it is sun-dried and naturally dried. This "Hasagake Rice" is cooked in a Kamado (traditional Japanese stove) using firewood and an iron pot).
