From Skjelbred you drive inshore by boat into Egersund city center or a few minutes out Norda strait towards Eigerøy lighthouse and a bustling fishing life. (Only applies to summer) The cabin contains: 1st floor: vestibule, bathroom/laundry room and living room/kitchen. 2nd floor: hallway, toilet room and 4 bedrooms Baby chair and travel bed are available.

You can pack your backpack and go on marked hikes from the cabin, or you can take short drives to hikes such as Store Skykula and Smørkamdalen. Distance by car: Kongeparken 40 mins. With only a few meters to the fjord, an almost has the experience of sleeping in the water. All amenities are available either in the tiny house or in the basement of the shop Dirdalstraen Gardsutsalg nearby. The farm shop was named Norway's best farm shop in 2023 and 2025 and is a small attraction in itself. Right next door you will find a sauna that can be booked with equally good views.

Benedikte's house on architect-designed Svindland farm

Benedikte House is located about ten minutes drive from Egersund city center and about five minutes from E39. We have tried to recreate the hospitality of Benedikte - the last one who lived in the old house - in this modern and completely newly built farmhouse on the edge of the yard at Svindland farm. Here guests will find peace and quiet. On the farm there are horses, we have two dogs and a cozy peacock couple that walk freely. The house is very modern and well equipped.

The building complex was finished in 2016, and maintains a high standard. The apartment is located in the 3rd floor( top floor) with a slight view of the ocean (elevator available). The first floor of the complex has both a gas-station and a small grocery store. The train station is located 100m away from the apartment, with frequent departures for both Stavanger and Egersund. Ogna beach is only 10 minutes of walking away. The condo has free parking on the premises.
