The Hangar is a private self contained space built onto our house, so-called because although it is modern, the houses in the area are built on what used to be a World War Two aerodrome where Spitfires would take off to fly across the English Channel. The Battle of Britain Museum is very close by and well worth a visit. The space has a double bedroom and small lounge area with a spare double sofa bed if needed. The new bathroom has a very relaxing power shower. Private patio area is included.
“This is very nice, clean and stylish flat with the amazing owner. My boyfriend had a birthday and Steve decorated the flat with balloons and happy birthday banner! The flat is small but very comfortable and warm. A very nice breakfast was provided. Highly recommended!”
Modern 5 bedroom detached house in a pleasant village above the town of Folkestone. Great location for stop off to the port of Dover (7miles) and eurotunnel (1.5miles). We have private parking on site, the room is one of our spare rooms and has private use of the main bathroom with separate shower, we have 2 cats and a little dog all very friendly, we are about most evenings and happy for you to join us in the lounge, Tea and Coffee is provided in the room
“Kevin and Toni are lovely. Very chilled. Bed was wonderfully comfortable, arguably the most powerful and refreshing shower in europe😉and the bathroom itself is all yours and very tastefully done. Location is singularly ideal for travelling to France/Europe...10 minute drive to Dover ferry. Fab ...across the board.”
A peaceful retreat for 2 guests on our small holding. Ideally situated to explore the beautiful Kent countryside by foot, cycle or car. 10 mins from Channel Tunnel, 20 mins from the Port of Dover and Canterbury. 10 mins from Folkestone West Station for the high speed train to London, which takes 55 mins, and 25 mins to Ashford International for the Eurostar to the continent.
“We felt very comfortable in "the stable". Sally took care of us very lovingly and the accommodation was ideal for us and our dog, for whom there was a lot to discover outside. "The stable" is relatively small, but everything is perfectly thought out, so that the room is again very generous. Great big windows directly into the green. Although it is only 10 minutes away from Folkestone, you are in the absolute green idyll and tranquility. If we choose this route to Scotland again we definitely want to book there again.”
