There are two grocery stores, boutique shops, a hotel, a bakery, campsites, a fjord sauna, and a small sandy beach with a shared barbecue/outdoor area all within walking distance. It is within walking distance to the bus, shuttle boat and ferry Sæbø-Leknes/Urke. Sæbø is a good starting point from easy to spectacular mountain hikes. During the season, you can fish for salmon in the Bondalselva river (buy a fishing licence from the shop).

Urke is a lively little village and has everything you need; great nature, hiking and swimming opportunities, shop with post office and pharmacy, garden center and own pub/cafe. The nature in the area is amazing. Sunnmørsalpane surrounds the village with majestic Slogen and Saksa which has become very popular after Sherpas from Nepal have made steps up through the URA. In the last couple of years, Urkeegga has also become a popular tourist destination. The mountains here are as popular for skiers in winter as for mountain trips in summer.
