The region is about 50:50 bilingual finnish-swedish speaking, but the archipelago is nearly 100 % Swedish speaking. Many people speak both languages. English is a common foreign language. Pets are welcome in the cottage with their owners, but they should not be left alone in the cottage for a long time.
