Apartment holiday rentals in Oxnard

I stayed in the apartment for six months as temporary housing, while preparing for a permanent move to Ventura. It's perfect for a long-term stay. The kitchen has a generous size, really nice appliances, and enough cookware to get by (though I did bring my own). I will really miss waking up to the apartment's view of the town and the Pacific. It's a nice walkable neighborhood, within walking distance of the pedestrianized downtown, which has great restaurants, coffee shops, mom-and-pop retailers, a movie house, a farmer's market, and occasional festivals. My morning run took me through downtown, down to the pier, across the beach, and back up through a charming neighborhood -- I'll really miss that too. The neighborhood is also quiet -- I had no problem working from home there, including on the nice balcony overlooking the ocean. Oscar himself is a great host, super friendly and responsive. He even provided a cat tree for my cats!

This isn't our first time and will not be our last. I was so happy this place was available for our dates. It is the first we look for when trying to find an affordable, quiet, and private place. Has an amazing kitchen, bathroom, and master bed and we absolutely love it here. Amazing find and the best place ever to stay at with what you get and price. In a VERY quiet community but very close to the life of the beach, the amazing foods, malls, and theaters. Also close enough to LA but far enough from the hustle and bussle as well as traffic. Only reason to give this place a 1 star is so I can keep this great find to myself!😁

This was the second time that I’ve stayed at Paul and Favian’s place and both times I had a great experience! The room is clean, well-equipped and neatly decorated in a vintage flair that fits perfectly to the laid back beach town. The location is in walking distance to the beach and small local restaurants, and not a long drive away from Vons, Downtown Oxnard , Ventura Harbor and other attractions. Perfect for a relaxed getaway, close to the beach, in a safe neighborhood. Paul is a great, heartfelt person and it was a pleasure to meet him. I’d stay anytime again! :)

We LOVED having our Thanksgiving weekend at The Shoals Corner! The unit is charming, very comfortable, with a pull-out couch/bed conversion in the living room that gives a great view of the ocean (and sunsets!). From there, we could see a pod of dolphins feeding for quite a while one morning! We brought a crockpot and fixings from home, and made our turkey breast in the cozy kitchen for our holiday meal. The kitchen is really well stocked for up to four people. There's lots to do in central Ventura, so we worked out at a gym a couple of times, shopped for food and beverage extras next door to the gym, and drove around to look at neighborhoods. We also played miniature golf another day and thought about going to a movie...but the beach vibe, fresh air, and sunshine were so satisfying that we avoided indoor activities. We're already talking about going back next year. THANK YOU, MARY, for your hospitality and the opportunity for us to have a wonderful vacation!!

second time staying, if it's available next time I'm in town I will definitely stay again

This is second time we have stayed at Ellen’s place. She has always been responsive. Some nice upgrades in bathrooms and location can’t be beat near lots of shops, restaurants, grocery etc. Also near major highways so easy to get to where you need to go.

Cute condo, a very comfortable stay. Wonderfully kind host. Lots to do, see and places to eat near by.

Great place in East Ventura area. We were visiting our daughter and it was a great base for us. Comfortable living room and close to shopping. Short drive to the harbor area.

Had a great day at this place! The check-in directions were easy, the place is clean and modern in the king size bed is really comfortable! Can’t wait to return. If you need a place to stay long or short term, this is the place!

I stayed in a different suite than the Rainbow because I booked very last minute and it wasn’t ready… But Bill was so helpful offering me another option in same house… This place was fabulous!!!! Spotless clean, with all the details (coffee, creamer, teas, shampoos/conditioners, soap and shower gel) lots of towels. Huge parking spot which is GOLD in Topanga. Big kitchen - although I only used the toaster. The big glass doors open fully to a gorgeous courtyard with awesome lighting. I wanted to leave them open all night but it’s chilly at night in April here. The frogs serenaded me until I shut the doors then it was absolutely silent inside. Fantastic king bed with squeaky clean bedding. Two giant tubs… I chose the outdoor tub in the morning which was absolutely heaven in a little courtyard with gorgeous blooms and plants and a lovely fountain. I didn’t want to leave. Bill is the sweetest guy and he went above and beyond to get me the perfect last minute home. Highly recommend.

You cannot beat the hot tub and pool access along with the sounds of the waves crashing at night from the room. We had a couple hiccups during our stay and the host was incredibly responsive. Very clean space with many amenities.

We had a great stay in Judith’s home. Everything about it was easy. The beds were so cosy and comfortable. The open plan was nice and spacious and she had covered all bases regarding amenities. We enjoyed sitting on the balcony and using the communal pool area for a swim. The residents were super warm and friendly and the location was perfect for the beach and the country mart. We liked that we could walk to the shops and restaurants if we wanted to. We would definitely return. Thanks so much.

We had a wonderful time at Carolyn and Maurice’s apartment! We had an early flight and were already in town waiting on our 3 o’clock check in when she let us know it was all ready for us, which was a relief because we needed to rest. Just after getting in we were surprised with fresh baked cookies that were delicious! That place was nice and clean and had everything you could need. I walked to the beach morning and night and it was quick and easy. I was very glad to see a first aid kit and beach towels since we had forgotten towels and bandaids. Ventura was home so we were in town visiting family and the place even had Tupperware so I was prepared to snatch my great aunt’s leftovers to enjoy at the apartment later. We were lucky enough to meet both Carolyn and Maurice in the driveway and chat for a bit. The couple times I needed anything Carolyn was quick to respond anywhere from 30 secs to 20 mins on messaging and they were just a minute away upstairs. Great place & hosts! 5 star

Great little spot for a quick overnight. Everything was clean, orderly, Nikita was responsive and friendly, and even offered to drop off an iPhone charger for me. Really appreciated. The space is definitely more suitable if you are just passing through vs needing to stay for a getaway or something longer.

Julie and Dave are just lovely people, even the groundskeeper Jesus is awesome. She responses so quick to any inquiries you have during your say. Julie had some extra freshly baked bread and it was delicious along with a yummy apple from their garden, fully organic pesticide free :). The place is nice and clean, bed cozy, clean linen, towels, and kitchenware. YOU MUST FOLLOW her directions to get to the property or else you won't make it lol. Once you learn the way its fun to ride up the canyon roads :D. The high speed internet is great which is a must because you will not have cell service up in the mountains which i didn't mind, just que up your directions on GPS before you leave and you'll be all good. The backyard is as described, simply beautiful with a view to match. Only downside is minor, you don't have a driveway access so at times when there are guest in the other units it can get a little tight on the street. Ultimately would def stay again, peaceful getaway in A+ location!

Great stay! Clean and comfortable beds. Bathroom is huge! Only thing to make sure you are aware of is the spiral staircase going up to the unit would be difficult with heavy luggage or someone older. We were well aware of the spiral staircase so knew what to expect and it didn't affect us negatively.

We thought this unit was beautiful and it had personal touches that made it feel homey. The kitchen was well stocked and was updated and modern. The unit was clean and fresh. The bathroom is spacious with a great soaking tub and nice shower. Mario and Stephanie excelled at communication and giving us great information about the area, including offering some nearby things to see and do. It was a great location, and we loved the on site, secured covered parking. We would recommend this to anyone traveling to Santa Clarita and would want to stay there again when we are visiting our family who live in town. Check in and check out were seamless and it was an overall great, great experience.

I have an annual golf trip in Ojai and prefer an AirBnB. This place suited my needs. Quiet. Clean. Great, hot shower. Comfy bed. Microwave and mini fridge. I’m not really in the places that much when I’m in town so that’s about. Only star I would ding the place for is just that it’s a ways back behind the house and away from the street on a semi uneven stone walkway. It’s not an issue for me since I’m able. But if you needed to roll any luggage or had an unsteady gait, this might not be a perfect fit. Otherwise. No notes. Friendly communicable hosts are always appreciated which they are.

I had a wonderful stay at Victor's place in Ventura. It is in a quiet neighborhood just steps to the beach with several restaurants and shops within walking distance - Duke's in particular was a great place with good food and local flavor. The beds were comfortable and the backyard space was a real treat. I would definitely stay here again.

It was home away from home from the moment we walked in--peaceful, comfortable, light and airy, open floor plan, tasteful decor and spotlessly clean. Rajvir is always an amazing host and we were fortunate to stay in one of her places again. The neighborhood is perfect for walking with gorgeous landscaping and the on site work out facility is an added bonus.

Melody was a great host. She was responsive and gave tips on how to access her condo with a part of PCH being inaccessible. The place itself was clean and beautiful. Can’t beat the view and falling asleep to the sounds of waves. Parking was a huge plus! Would definitely stay again.
