…A fantastic little house in a stunning location. We were in Coniston for a wedding in The Coppermines and the house was perfectly located, just a short stroll into the town.

Communication and instructions were great. We did drive too far up the hill which wasn't fun, but had we watched the video as instructed we'd absolutely have avoided that (oops).

We enjoyed chip shop chips in the lovely garden.

…The Roost is the perfect home base for the Lake District, especially with kids and a dog! It was a comfortable and accessible, and Will and Giles were excellent hosts. We will definitely book again!…

…Fabulous place to stay. Host was great, very responsive! The house was spotless and very comfortable. The vies are amazing! We loved the church bells and the lovely church. The village is quiet and has everything you need. The location is very central to Ambleside and Bowness (via ferry). Lovely to return back to a peaceful quiet village at the end of the day. Five star, would definitely return!…

…This lovely cottage was perfect! Immaculate and stylish throughout. The village is about as quaint a place as I’ve ever seen! Everything you need is right there- delicious dining opportunities and very friendly people! If you’re driving to near-by sights… better brush up on your reaction time and your creative problem solving skills! Some of the roads can be harrowing!! But- it’s a beautiful place and the cottage is adorable.…
